    Hello everyone !
Lurchio, I am really glad that you have made your first Payplan payment, don't you just feel great, but wish you'd done it six months sooner? Any day now the letters and phone calls should stop, imagine that the next time the phone rings it wont be someone hassling you for a payment but a friend calling to see how you are and that you no longer dread the postman- enjoy the feeliong and well done !
Mal, I would echo gargrave (big up Glasgow) and say that most comapnies will accept a dmp if done through a recognised charity. Most have a dept just to deal with the cccs and Payplan so it should be a lot easier. I have experience with MBNA and to be honest they have been so nice since Payplan arranged the dmp even though they couldn't except the amount as it was too little. Any time I've contacted them they have never not once asked for more money, in fact they have always acknowledged my situation and been nothing but sympathetic.
As usual so many kind words and support- we really are sharing the love tonight !
p.s. I had a PM today spamming me regarding my debts and how for £250 someone knows someone that can get them all wiped off- so i paid up and should be debt free by Friday. Its a beautiful world suckers. ( they must think I was born yesterday, my name is worried jim, not gullible tw*t !)
  • Cheers for the responses so promptly, I am going to do everythinng by the book through Payplan so looks like I should be ok. How long did you leave between sending the letter and cancelling the DD payments as some i have ae due end of this week and I have not sent the letters yet?

cancel everything now.If you can pay £1 to each so there is no gap in the payment history, send the letters and let payplan do the rest. When you, or if you, receive a phone call from them keep your payplan id number to hand and offer it to each caller. From experince whrn ever I had a call from a creditor as soon as I explained I was with payplan and offered my id there tone and manner of the call changed instantly as they realised there was no more point talking to me or asking me for money- in fact they couldn't wait to get off the call on to there next one where there might be a possibiility of earning some commision on collecting some money. Good luck !

Hope you reported the spammer Jim - the postcount limit on newbies was introduced to stop this so hopefully we can boot them out.

    Good luck Mal

You can only do PM's if you have a certain number of posts.

Don't need to tell you that you can do this for £1 and a few stamps yourself, but worth mentioning for any of your fans that are reading.

I'd give a yellow card to Brad for sending that - it may be that he has used them and got a result, but still spam.

Glad to see you've not lost the plot entirely ;)
    Take care.

I work for a bank and realised I need to change my account for salary payment to another bank as I understand if you have creditors within the same banking group they can take there money from source?

Has anyone experienced this with a PayPlan or any other DMP?

Thanks again, this site has really removed all stress I was under

Mal just open a new bank account with no links to any of your creditors and arrange for you pay to go in there. Then cancel all DD's and arrange for them to be paid from the new account if they are things like Council Tax, utilities etc.

Make token payments to all your creditors and enclose a letter telling them about your proposed DMP and sit back and relax. As soon as Payplan get your first payment they will do all the offers and you just monitor the Justabank site to see when they accept or reject. So far a week in and I have 7 out of 11 have accepted including Egg and MBNA:T

    Great news and advice impetus.
  • Hi, it seems bizarre that you may be asked to get rid of SKY TV at £10 a month- we were asked to do that but when I said, "What would you have said if I had smoked 20 cigs a day and drank heavily as I was an alcoholic (I don't and I'm not) then I was told they would not question that. Therefore, I still have my SKY which is better than crudded up lungs and a dodgy liver.
