Ok, have only found this thread yesterday and have read it from start to finish, at first i mis read the date on the OP and thought it started this year, then began reading posts about Christmas and realised i'd made a mistake some where, but i kept on reading And glad i am too. What a journey...not only Jim but everyone else who has popped up along the way, some who have been there throughout and others who have just said hi but all have made valuable contributions. The thoughts and experiences shared here helped Jim, i'm sure, but also they will have helped others who may just have viewed but not posted. I love, this site, the people who frequent it, and the warm glow you get from seeing other peoples helpful posts even if they don't apply to you. It's nice to know there are people here who can understand and advise even when there's nothing in it for them other than knowing that they have maybe helped someone else out along their way. Cheers Jim and everyone else for the warm glow i have today. x0

Jim
Same as you but have partner. debts £33k !!
Last week I clicked onto the CCCS link which is on this website.... ANYTHING ON THIS WEBSITE is geniune so try it.
You enter all your ins and outs (all set out on the site) and they give you a route to take.... ME - Debt Management Plan...
All creditors (not general house hold bills or mortgage) loans, credit cards, shop cards etc.. they work out all you living expenses etc and show a split in what offers to make to all creditors.
I applied last week, got this week the agrement and a brief letter to send to creditors of oyur position and what will be happening regards to payments...
I sent a letter with the CCCS letter, asking for due dates to change or freeze as I have to pay CCCS on 1st and CCCS then pay then on 25th, so will be late on payments..... waiting on them,,,
BUT the stress has all been lifted, better off per month with money.. and I pay CCCS at the end of Nov - SO one month to sort......
Just click on the CCCS link and try it...... because my loan was to finish 2022 but if i keep paying what i do, that loan and others are cleared within 3 - 5 years....... HOW GOOD IS THAT !. TRY IT !0 -

I havn't caught up yet (only on page 30.) Every time i think i'm getting there i turn around and theres another 4 pages to read.
Just wanted to let you know i am keeping a close eye on you, even though, sorry to say i can't offer you any advice. But you seem to be getting a lot of help and support by these lovely people.

My neck is stiff and my jaws ache and its all down to you jim. You are an inspiration. I know you've heard all of this before but its true.
You make me laugh so much one minute (The jokes etc) Then this caring loving person pops up.
You so deserve to find that girl of you're dreams Jim. Lets hope she has everything you want including big boobies.

A BIG THANKYOU.0 -
Wow ! What just happened ? Thank you ,Thank you,Thank you ! I apologise for giving you face ache from the laughter ! Everyone's comments are simply brilliant and they do keep me motivated.
At last some good news.... as from 20/12/09 my mortgage is coming down to £605 from £715 which means at last I get to benefit from the current economic climate and low interest rates. I am going to give the Abbey a call after a few months of cheaper payments and try to get a long fix, maybe 10 years at about 4.99%. No more work for a week, don't know what to do with my self !0 -
I'm sure you'll think of something. Good news though. I have to admit as much as i laugh at you're way with words i don't understand your record collection.
Sorry i'm an old woman and my music is mostly back in the 60's with a lot of reggae thrown in.
Enjoy your week off and keep up the good work.0 -
Blimey, loads of new supporters Jim!
I was just checking up on youand wondered if you have had a look at the GIOL thread. I'm a relative newbie to it but can see it will make a difference if you have some cash you can tie up temporarily in order to generate some - but I guess you aren't short of ideas for your leftover mortgage cash, what a nice result for you.
