I only ask as I work in a restaurant and some guy comes once a week and takes ours away to use for the very same thing.
Seems a bit daft that the staff could get the benefit of free "juice" if possible?
Yes its pretty much that simple. As long as you don't have an hdi or common rail injection engine you may be fine. Some engines are more suited than others such as the Pugoeut xud engine found in 90's 306 and Citroen xantias. The rule of thumb tends to be around they type of fuel pump on the car, if it is made by Lucas than don't do it as the veg oil ruins the rubber seals, if it is made by bosch you will more likely have success.
Although my car was manufactured by GM it has an isuzu engine with a bosch fuel pumps and is seen by many as a good starting point. It has a 50 litre tank and at todays prices will cost £52.50 to fill. I plan to use 50% used vegtable oil so each tank will now cost £26 and will cover over 600 miles. In many cases the engines run smoother, mpg can be increased and emmisions will be a lot less. The down side is that it could all go horrible wrong, but as ever I will be posting my results.0 -

Just had an early morning phonecall. A friend is off to a wedding in Cardiff today and called panicking as her sat nav which covers all of Europe doesn't cover Wales and can she come and borrow mine for the weekend, sure I said, give me the postcode and I'll make sure that mine has it for you as she is really in a panic now (the art of map reading is now long dead). I have just called her back to advise her that when selecting an address that she needs to change the country from England to Wales and the postcode will work fine and that when she gets to Cardiff its best not to mention that she thought the address was in England. My MBNA debt has now been bought by Experto Credite and they have sent me a letter asking me to give them a call and saying "we understand the financial pressures you may be experiencing at this time, but be assured our account managers are here to help you." I can feel an argument coming on if I call them and I don't think they will be quite as understanding as they make out.0

Quite right Jim, if they want to discuss something, they can do it in writing.
Are you sure this company have bought the debt? Were you notified of this or receive a notice of assignment? Not that i think you're the type that likes to stir...After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

I am pretty sure that the debt has been bought by them and not some mbna trick-
I have googled them and surprisingly I have found very few complimentary comments. Mainly people saying that when they call them up they demand the full balance, advise that agreed payments aren't enough etc,0 -
Well I have just had my first weigh in since 15/09/09 when I was -
Weight- 101kg (222 lb and 10.67 oz)
This morning I am-
95 kg = 209 lb and 7.02 oz
I am over the moon ! 6kg / 13 lb lost in 12 days. I knew I had lost weight when I was pottering about yesterday and I kept having to pull my shorts up.
The lightest I have been for 4 years is 89kg, I could pass this milestone in just two weeks. Who would have thought that eating 6 times a day would result in the weight falling of.0 -

Yup, that's a notice of assignment alright. Just a little surprised as alot of companies don't bother. Is this a debt you can do a CCA for?
Great news on the weight loss Jim. I'm 209lbs also. I'm at the stage where i'm thinking about dieting and can't excercise without injuring myself. You'd think i'd be able to do something without being stupid and getting hurt wouldn't you? After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
