I appreciate both your comments and support but can you do anything about the weather ? I shouldn't complain really as I have just found out that it is going to be as bad as this for the next 20 years. Yes, 20 years. This long range forecaster ( Piers Corbyn ) is so accurate that William Hill won't take his bets any more on the weather . Bummer.

Just read the whole thread as well! You're doing so well Jim although I do have one question ... How do I get Countdown to extinction out of my head as it's been stuck in there since you mentioned Megadeth!!0

for me its "sweating bullets". Saw them at MK Bowl supporting Metallica and was very impressed. My sister is at Sonisphere this weekend and by all accounts Thunder's last ever show last night was awesome and she even wished that I had been there to see it (she must want something).
It was Pride in Brighton yesterday and I usually go because it is a really good and fun day out, but I checked the weather and it said it would be raining about mid day and I don't fancy standing in a field with 150,000 wet people so I gave it a miss, by all accounts I am glad that I did. Not only was there a torrential downpour but the place irrupted into a massive fight (handbags) although it's not been reported in the local paper, I suspect journalist bias. Not working tonight so am going to cook a full pork roast and enjoy Topgear and if the sun does come out this afternoon I may try and sit in the garden with the newspaper.
Moneymabel- am now listening to symphony of destruction and lovin' it. You have made my day !0 -
Hello me...it's me again... Classic!
Metallica are awesome, bought Guitar Hero for the wii but sadly had to sell it as my James Hetfield impersonations were not appreciated by the OH ( who has no taste in music!)
Never seen them live- have only been to two concerts in my life ( ready for a laugh?) A-ha in 1988 and Skin ( not the cool singer from Skunk Anansie but the band with the lead singer who looks like a poodle ) in my defence the latter was because my guitar teacher at the time was in a band who won a comp through Metal Hammer to support Skin at Exeter University ..... Makes you wonder what second prize won lol.
I have no defence for the A-ha gig but actually still like them..sorry! Better than Simply Red though heh heh
ooh Top Gear tonight yay, just finished reading Richard Hammonds bio- how that bloke is still alive is a bloody miracle,
anyway have waffled on enough...enjoy the Megadeth!0 -
Oh like this thread lots of talk about good bands. Megadeth countdown album really good, love Thunder (and Aha) havent seen anyone decent in years. Iron Maiden were good.:j0

Hi I have read a lot of this thread, havnt got time to finish at the mo but have a quick question - I am in a similar situation as yourself only I have a daughter. I have tried to keep up with all payments but am shortly going to have to go down the payplan route or similar as my ex is stopping some payments that he currently gives me.
I wondered though, as I do have some equity in my house will I be forced to sell it to pay off all the debts or will I be allowed to keep my house and enter into the payment plans???? Obviously the most important thing is a roof over our heads but I wasnt sure If I could be forced to sell or not - hope this makes sense
Thanks !0 -
I love this thread- you are all wonderful people and I am having a fantastic day reading and adding to it.
- moneymabel, leave your oh he has no taste, style or decency. I could spend hours telling you about all the brilliant gigs that I have been to (ahem, simply red excluded although it was a means to an end ) and that you have missed out on whilst you play guitar hero and I loon around the lounge doing my best Kirk Hammett.
-Keeping positive, there is nothing wrong with aha or as I like to call them Morten, Mags and Pal. I am 35 and have no shame at all in the music I like, I don't care what anyone else's opinions are (as I write this listening to Bon Jovi- yes moneymabel seen them twice) they are all wrong and I am right.
-Bon Jovi. Have all the albums, got 1st album for runaway in about 85 on cassette and was in a friends car on Friday and she hate my music "its all Def Lep and NWA" and she had New Jersey on cd so I stuck it on and she says "it's my favourite album" well we singing along as we drove through the country lanes -
I need a respirator cause Im running out of breath
Youre an all night generator wrapped is stockings and a dress
When you find your medicine you take what you can get
Cause if theres something better baby well thay havent found it yet

Hi Chinawhite and welcome. Its great that you are going down the payplan route and I wish you every success, they have proved a Godsend to me and I can only offer you a glimpse through this thread of the help, support and relief I have got from them. Truly, truly made me a 100% better.
As long as your debts are not secured on your house (secured loan or mortgage) then they can not make you sell your house. There are instancies where a charging order can be applied for but this will normally be for cases where a debtor is refusing to pay, and that is not you. When you are speaking to the companies that you owe the money to they may well tell you that they will take your house, they shouldn't be saying this but they do to scare you into paying and to get you to pay more. Remember they are bonused on how much arrears they collect so it is in there interst to say anything they can to get you to pay. Please, please don't worry. What stage are you at with payplan? Sorry to hear about the situation your ex is putting you in but I guarantee you that if you do set up a dmp with payplan in less than 2 months your creditors will have stopped contacting you and you feel a million times better, who knows in six months time you to could admitting to cyberspace all the embarrising and shameful bands that you have been to see, real progress in my book.0
