Some were meant to be good and turned out to be awful (Sound Garden, Faith no more, N.I.N.), while others I went to see for a laugh and turned out to be really good (Ugly Kid Joe, Richard Marx). Others have let me down even before I got there- Black Crowes- cancelled, Michael Jackson- took a dirt nap. C'est la vie.
Just remembered that I got dragged to see Simply Red ( trying to get in a girls knickers) at Warwick castle back in the 90's and he was absolutely brilliant, every time I hear them on the radio I grin from ear to ear -Obviously !:rotfl:0 -
He did the trick for you then?
Bet you don't tell may people you went to see them - doesn't quite fit the NIN, Black Crowes image. Mind you, neither does Richard Marx0 -

Almost, I managed to go for 2 hours with out cracking any Ginger jokes but then I went to the bar which was packed with men looking for an excuse to get away and everyone was cracking Mick Hucknall jokes (what's ginger and stinks of p1ss etc etc), well I thought these jokes would be fantastic to share and went dashing back and was surprised when instead of laughing and telling me what a terrific wit I am my date actually said " You were doing so well I was going to shag you but I am not now." Devastated. Fortunately the alcohol that I was supplying helped, ahem, "thaw" the situation, until on the way back to the flat (living in Warwick at the time) she tripped and I laughed at her. A valuable lesson was learnt that night. If you want to get jiggy with mr biggy dont laugh at either Simply Red or ladies falling in the street.
Here endeth the lesson. Jim.0 -
well I have finally collated all the information for First direct and sent off my claim for bank charges-
I have enclosed all the information that I think you will require-
P46's from my full time and part time jobs, I thought this would be more helpful then payslips as it gives a complete 12 months.
A copy of my Payplan welcome letter with my case id number in case you should need to contact them.
I have enclosed my full financial statement which Payplan helped me to complete as this contains more data than the expenditure column of the form I have been sent by First Direct.
There is also a copy of my creditors with the amounts that I am paying them, the amounts owing are on the financial statement on the last page.
6 months of banks statements which will also show the deposits from my second job being paid in as cash at the beginning of each month. You may also notice monthly payments of £100 into this a/c, these are not additional funds, I care for an elderly neighbour who is house bound and will often withdraw £100 cash for him and deposit a cheque for £100 the next day or two.
I hope this information will be helpful.0 -

I hope it helps (desperatly)
I am absolutely broke at the moment, so much so that next week when I am off work for 2 weeks I have the funds to do absolutely jack !!!!!!. Normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem as I would go to the library get some good books and sit in the garden in the glorious sunshine for two relaxing weeks or spend a day on the beach, but thanks to all the bearded weirdos and "global warming" it will now p1ss down constantly for the next two weeks just like it has done for the last 3 summers. Global warming, my ars e.0 -
First day of holiday and the sun is out- how long will this last? Just had a call from MBNA and I owe approx £18k across 2 cards which I pay thru payplan on my dmp. Now unfortunately the amount I pay is just to little for them to except but they weren't trying to pressure me into paying any more and they said they understood my situation and had previously been a good customer so if I was able to pay them £6.2k they would wipe the rest of the debt off ! (£11k). Unfortunately I am in no position to do this and at the end of the month they are going to default me and sell the debt on to a dca (I bet they sell it for about £6.2k). I must admit this has taken my breath away, a real shame there is nothing I can do.

And so the saga with my elderly neighbour and Virgin continues....
After 2 years of being house bound he now feels well enough to venture out but to do this would like the security of a mobile phone. So he calls up Virgin 'cos they have enclosed a leaflet with his latest bill about there great phone offers so he calls them up explains he's 80 with poor eyesight and cant use anything fiddly, will never send any texts and just wants it to be easy to use in case of emergencies. "no problem, we have just the right phone". Well this phone is so small even I would struggle to dial a number and couldn't be any more inappropriate if it was raspberry jelly. 'kin morons.0 -
Welcome Nicole ! Have you really read all 30 pages ? That kind of scares me ! I always wonder who does read this stuff (so far 43272 people). I wish you every success in getting things sorted and if can offer any help in anyway just ask.
Just spent the day reading "Chas & Dave all about us" by Chas Hodges. I am not really a fan but I picked the book up in the library and was laughing like a lunatic on page 2 and I have to say its been a very funny and interesting read.0
