In case you missed it, the funniest thread you will ever read on mse- "Buyers are camped in our garden over Christmas"
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2943078
It is 50+ pages long but well worth the read, to skip through it all you need to do is read all the threads made by the op-thejonesfamily-. I guarantee you will be howling with laughter and embarrassment, if you do get the opportunity to read some of the replies they are heart warming, there is one person who has been reading it to their dying Father in hospital and they said that it made there last days together some of the funniest times they've ever shared. Warning- it took me four hours, but worth it!0 -

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse walk into a bar in Liverpool.
20 minutes later, the Four Pedestrians of the Apocalypse vow to never drink in Liverpool again.0 -
I took some money round to the racist pensioner yesterday as he has helped me out a lot recently and he was really going for it when I mentioned Obama's London visit, the older he gets the more racist he becomes. I just sit there and grin, there is no point trying to point out the error of his ways but I feel that now he thinks I share his point of view which I certainly don't and he has started to send me emails of the sort that the Daily Mail would be proud of.
I had borrowed some money off him as I went to Leeds to work for a week and it would take a few days to get my expenses through. Thought the Leeds was a great city and will probably be back there a few more times before the end of the summer. Had the greatest bottle of wine ever there in a restaurant as well. It was a Chilean Chardonnay from the biobio valley called Augustino and it was simply the most amazing wine I have ever drank. Will definitely be going back to this restaurant next time just for the wine.
I am trying to save a few pennies for September when I really would like to go away on holiday to Greece and am holding out till the last minute to see if I can get a bargain, although I hate to make plans as something disastrous is now bound to happen. Oh well....
I am listening to Neil Diamond this week.0 -
Dont worry i am asian and today I am ashamed.
Did you hear about the group of asian bigots that attacked a teacher (white) because he taught RE in a school?
A 28 year old London teacher may never work again as he has severe head injuries, scarring and depression because some idiots decided they didn't want him teaching students to question their religion.
One of them was a social worker. I am so angry.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

I did read the storey and see the four mug shots in the paper. This is just the sort of item that he will go on about. A good reason to ban all teaching of fairy tales in all our schools and stick to just the facts.0 -

That is a very funny show, right up my street, I hope you have a great time.
I realised that there is no such thing as God a long time ago, probably at school in a science lesson- I was paying attention. Never met any one able to convince me other wise, even Billy Graham who I met once a long time ago. I have prayed at the Western wall a few times in the past and memorably I went down there form the Russian quarter (really good bar) at two in the morning whilst stoned to see if God would answer he didn't so a hippy friend and I carried on drinking until the Temple Mount opened in the morning and went to the Dome of the rock to see if Allah would answer but all I heard was the calling of a nice cold Heineken on a hot day.
In the good old days you just had to blaspheme or look over your shoulder to be struck down or turned into a pillar of salt but try as hard as I can nothing happens when I take the Lords name in vain- because he isn't there and never was. Just an Iron age fable which for some reason humanity can't get over and goes on killing in its name. Just proves how stupid humans are, shame, such potential, we put a man on the Moon and now we are reduced to beating up teachers or stoning women. Thank God for God. I need a drink....0 -

I have been putting off dealing with a certain financial issue for about four months, it was filling me with dread and if I thought about it I felt worse. I have been telling myself to deal with it on a Wednesday when I don't work for the last two months but it always comes down to "next" Wednesday. This morning I had the same feeling but a few minutes ago I went and picked up the unopened envelope and made the call. Spoke to a really nice lady and had a very pleasant chat and resolved the whole thing in a moment. The relief I feel is off the scale, I don't know what made deal with it today but I am glad that I did. As of now I have nothing I need to sort out, Payplan is running smoothly, work is brilliant at present and I just bought some second hand trainers of ebay for £16 that should have been £50 in the shops and only worn three times by previous owner. I don't think I'll ever buy new trainers again.
Last week whilst doing some online banking I moved £300 into a savings account as I had had a very good month bonus wise and wanted to start to save for a holiday at the end of September. I felt very pleased with myself all week knowing I had money in my current account and a good balance in savings. On Saturday I got a call from Simon who I used to rent a room to and he told me that he forgot to cancel a standing order and had paid £400 into my account in error and could he have it back. Bang goes my savings and smug financial satisfaction. The struggle continues....0
