I have got a sonic cat scarrer, since getting it 3 years ago i think i have had a few piles to clean up, but before that i was clearing up the same amount of times but in one day, they do work :rudolf:0

I remember someone swearing that a large fizzy drink bottle (eg 2l coke)filled with water did the trick.Trying to tidy and clean while the kids are still growing, is like trying to clear snow even though it's still snowing

My late Mum would have said a gun - bless!!!! I've had a sonic cat scarer in the past and they do work - just saving up to buy a new one as the old one got "terminated" in the house move. if you do put bottles etc down move them regularly and I find that the citronella stuff you can get they don't like. I usually find in my back garden a glare, a "gerouto'ityou" and a rattle of the back door handle works!!!!! I must look fierce - grrrrrr. But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Wow !! Thanks for all those replies in less than 30 mins. Great stuff..........even the 'funnies' !
Looks like I'll start on the garlic idea this weekend.
Any more idea's would be great - obviously the ones that are 'very cheap' would be most appreciated !!!0 -

Orange/lemon peel in the garden, and ive also used pepper, not sure if it works for long on a garden, but will definatly stop them ripping up your bin bags!!!!0

All the threads on In My Home have now been merged into one, you can find it here.
There's another one on the Old Style board that may help too: Cat's using garden as a toilet HELP!!!!!!
You'll be up all night reading those two threads, but hopefully you will find something that will work for you.

Hi y'all.
I've been trawling thru the OS board for the last hour trying to find a thread that would tell me how to get rid of an unwanted cat using my front garden as it's own personal toilet.
I have been waging this war for the last year!
I have tried: squeezing lemon juice and leaving the lemons in the garden, grinding pepper (lots of it) on the garden, some 'go away cat' spray and crystals from Focus, I've tied string so my garden looks like a grid, I've now put expandable trellis all over the ground (blocking some plants from seeing the light of day), ALL and which have NOT worked. Currently I've still got the trellis on the ground with bits of old wood with nails sticking up in the places it still digs up (yes, thru the little squares in the trellis).
I am slowly loosing my mind (and the war) - any suggestions welcome.
Lise:think: If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain :hello:0
