There is a plant you can get called Scardey Cat - they have had it on QVC - https://www.qvcuk.com but it is supplied to them by Thompson and Morgan who I think are at https://www.thompsonandmorgan.com.
The other option is to keep putting pepper dust on the garden but it does work out quite expensive as you have to keep putting it down.
Hope this helps0 -
Hee Hee! I knew I would reel in someone with a sense-of-humour bypass!0

Coco mulch works to some extent, they supposedly don't like the smell or the texture.
The other thing is when you prune your prickly plants, keep some long sections and put in the areas they use most. Cats aren't stupid, they avoid the places, but you do need to remember to be careful when weeding there!!
Also as someone said earlier clean the areas first so they don't associate it with being their 'toilet', and I use some strong disinfectant to mask any residual smell at least initially.0 -

I have a water pistol. Not particularly powerful, but reaches to the end of my garden. Doesn't hurt them, but most cats I catch are put off by the squirt of water and rush off. I don't think they hurry back if you catch them a few times. As a former cat owner, I wouldn't object at all if someone squirted my cat with water to avoid them messing in their garden. I don't think it's cruel. I'd be upset if someone drenched my cat (bucket of water and the like) or put anything nasty in the water.0

I have sprinked chilli powder over my gravel & it seems to be doing the trick. I bought a big bag for about 50p from an Asian supermarket.
A friend suggested using gripper-rods!
Another suggestion I heard is to go to the Zoo/Safari Park & buy some lion poo & spread it round the garden.
My sister's dog is visiting in a couple of weeks, so I might let him wee on the gravel, that should help.0 -
