I've just updated my sig (it's the day before payday)

I put this on my own thread but I'm putting it here too. I'm proud of myself. I must be living within my means!!

The numbers are going down. and I'm happy.

so big question is, do I now pay off the credit card with the interest free overdraft??

If you need to talk to someone confidentially call Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 or email jo@samaritans.org
My heart knows me better than I know myself so I'm going to let it do all the talking.

:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

    Today I will:
    • check online banking
    • make a loaf in breadmaker
    • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
    • storecupboard lunch and tea
    • carry on cleaning and decluttering house
    • shred paperwork and add to compost bin
    • not use car
    • have a no spend day
Good morning fellow dfw's :D Hope you all had a good weekend, back to work now:rolleyes: No snow here today but very cold.
Hi to all the regulars and welcome to anyone finding us for the first time, and hugs to anyone who needs one (((hugs))). Hope you all have a good day even though it is Monday:rolleyes:.

Ctch up with you all later:D

Collected an under the counter freezer from someone on freecycle. Turned out that I know the couple ;) . I will be able to do bulk cooking now - maybe on a Sunday morning - and freeze my dinners for weeks ahead. In the past, I have been guilty of snacking at McD's or popping into Pizza Hut on the way home from work as I wouldn't have time or energy to cook before going out for the evening. Now all I will have to do is heat something up that I pulled out of the freezer that morning. All I need to do now is learn to cook a lot better :D .
Just about to take the cash from my day's labours to the cashpoint as leaving it laying around is a bad idea for me. Had a couple of cheques too but I've put them down somewhere and can't see them. Not to worry. I haven't left the house with them so they will turn up shortly.
