But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today I will:
- check online banking
- make a loaf in breadmaker

- have a no spend day
Hi to all the regulars and welcome to anyone finding us for the first time, and hugs to anyone who needs one (((hugs))). Hope you all have a good day even though it is Monday:rolleyes:.

Painted Lady, I know what you mean about using this thread to organise yourself, and focus your mind
on the DFW task. It certainly does for me.
And all these dates that are working out :grinheart how lovely
Morning All :hello: it's cold, and I'm wearing grey woolly socks :cool2:-not :rotfl:
Do today I have/will:- made packed lunch with HM bread
- leftover delight for supper
- will go to the gym tonight
- And pick up my shelving for the shed, which I shopped around for, and bought through Quidco :money:
- got 2 free long life bulbs from some site, some time ago, I forget the details

- had long discussion with OH and we've worked out the next 3 return flights and how where to budget for them. (It's complicated :rotfl: ) It looks like at least one of our frequent-flyer schemes will pay for one of the flights :j If we book them far enough in advance we can use the free miles for the very expensive flights, because they're done by miles, not season, but of course they are V.Popular.
- so in the light of that, I can do my cash-flow-budget-spreadsheet and work out overpayments tonight.

Hope you all have good ones despite it being a cold Monday.0
