could supplement my income? - probably
kicking myself forever if I don't go for it? - almost certainly
It is an apprenticeship as a sign language interpreter. Once fully qualified I'd be earning over £30K but it would be tight in the meantime.
I am going to an information evening on Friday about it. I can't concentrate at work because I keep mulling this all over in my head.
KT.
You have your answer then I think - you should try and go for it - IMHO - but then again, I am not best placed cos I always think about life satisfaction rather than money satisfaction.
The worse thing in this life is to think what if - in the words of Frank Zappa (its a card on my wall)
'its better to have something to remember than nothing to forget'
I gave up a decent life, offer of a decent job, lovely house and my OH living with us in central Scotland cos it just wasn't us - took an opportunity up here less money but will get us where we want to be. OH now getting use to the commute once every 2-3 weeks!!
Hugs - these things are hard, but I am very sure you will do incredibly well.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi guys,
I just thought I would give you an update. I have been to Citizen's Advice and they feel I have 3 good grounds for appeal.
I have just sent off my appeal letter, recorded delivery, and will let you know the outcome.
Thanks for all your support :T

KtJazz...My situation is a little different but bascially, I am going back to uni in September to do an MA. I'll get a grant but we wil basically be living off my OH's wages. It's going to be a tough two years (esp if you see my debt amount in signiture!) BUT...I'm going to be qualified in something I've always wanted to do and will be able to earn more because of the qualification.
Just wanted to let you know you are not alone. You've mentioned about this sign language on several of your threads (including your big list!)...sounds to me like it could be an ideal opportunity for you to do something you really love. But in the end, it's your decision.
Good Luck

KT - If you can afford the drop in your income i would go for job satisfaction and happiness every time:D I could be earning a significantly higher salary than i have at present but it would entail longer hours, a long commute, being office based instead of hands on with my client group - would I like it ...NO... so I choose to stay here and do a job i love for much less money but I wake up each morning and NEVER hate the thought of going to work.
Follow your heart and your dreams if it is possible:j0 -
