Penny Pincher - hugs hugs hugs
I am such a newbie, but I do hope you will be able to come back. Please take care of yourself. Hugs. So many people on here care for you and you are so loved. I don't like to talk out of turn, but please try and just let it pass and hang on.

Thriftlady - I wish I'd recorded last night's Strictly - I loved Vincent and Flavia's dance - one of the best things I have ever seen; I'd love to see it again. I was disappointed that Jodie went.

Morning all, still no work here so have been on phone to DWP, what a load of cobblers they talk:rolleyes:
Have been very very down for a few days, so haven't wanted to come on and bore you all with it, feel slightly better today though so am sorting a few bits of paperwork out, doing some veggie stews and curries for the freezer, then going to see my SIL and the kids. Her Mum is giving me a breadmaker, so i'll be bugging you all for help with it;)
Had a read back and massive HUGGLES to SMOKY, BETH and all the poorlies and peed offs.BETH do you ever have a rest?  Just realised we will be Nanas at the samwe time, and has your DD found out what she's having yet?
PENPIN not sure what's going on, I been missing in action for a few days, but hope it all blows over soon:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Oh sybil, I am rolling around laughing at your post! Good luck with the cleaning, keep a supply of black bags handy and when in doubt chuck it out! I find that when the kitchen has turned into a tip I try to do a bit each time I go out to make a cuppa, quite a lot of times daily! Means it gets done but I'm not stuck there for hours. Bathrooms used to get done whilst I was supervising the kids in there, other than that the only really important rooms are your sitting room and your dad's bedroom I guess. Try not to panic too much! Easy for me to say I know, but I really am dreadful at housework, I just don't really care enough to get any motivation, though sadly I have to do it else we'd all vanish under clutter, but you do have my sympathies.
Penpin - sorry to hear you won't be posting, have pm'd you.
Candy - good luck with the job hunting, it's all this using classroom assistants that is messing things up I reckon. The one who "teaches" my dd3 one day a week was telling me that she was asked to take a maths lesson, agreement was that the head would do this, the assistant refused! Good for her, I have already asked our head of governors to find out what is going on - no point telling us all one thing and then the head doing another. Anyway I hope that something comes up soon for you, wish I had some good suggestions, lottery ticket?!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Penpin have just read your post. I am so sorry that you wont be posting on here any more. Like Sybil I am a newcomer but I have learned so much from you and others and have read with concern your battle for good health. I hope you may reconsider and keep posting. x0

Just amended my order for darling father coming - it has doubled in cost
And that is before I start adding his favourite tipple (which is drunk in considerable quantities) to the mix.
As for meal planning - I get my poor housekeeping from my late mother but I get my random attitude to life from my darling father. I think the term they use in films is exponential.
Actually, almost over my dither so will be doing ironing now.
Candygirl, hugs and thinking of you. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is some good news for you soon.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
PenPin I'm just nipping back on to say how shocked I am by your post.I do sort of know what you're on about and at the time it was happening I thought it was a tad over the top but also thought it had all blown over which it obviously hasnt.Normally I would say stand your ground and dont give into the bullies but given your recent ill health I can thoroughly understand your reaction. So all I can say is that I will miss your daily posts and hope that you continue to recover from your recent op and wish you all the best xxx

Just been trying to catch up!

Penny-Pincher!! wrote: »Hi Guys!
This is going to be my last post on the daily. My health can’t tolerate anymore undue stress. There are a few members on MSE that are trying to make my life as difficult as they can and I just don’t have the energy or health to fight anymore. I am not perfect and make many mistakes but I don’t need people blowing things out of proportion to make them look good and me bad. The relevant people have been PM’d and complaints made higher up as this is bullying and is unacceptable within MSE rules.
It is not what Old-Style is about.
Most of you are lovely genuine people and I appreciate fully all the support you have given me over the years and I honestly don’t know if I would be here otherwise.
Love & Kisses to all.

I have pm'd you as well.
I will also be sorry to see you go but I do understand and agree that some posts aimed at you have been way over the top and totally unnecessary! That same individual has upset me in the past when I have been very low and grieving :mad:such a shame when this board is so very friendly.
Take good care of yourself and rest up. Hopefully will see you posting on other threads and back here when you are ready!
Re old style stuff for the day - I have made mincemeat - double quantity.
Just picked up the phone dd has just been made redundant! After all the hard work she has put in, she is devastated!
