That was my initial thought OJK. Shall ask the children what they prefer, I think I have some pudding rice somewhere so could always make rice pudding and do what I usually do with leftover chicken.
I've got one of those really annoying evenings. DS starts Beavers at 5.30pm, then I need to pick him up and drop DD1 off at Cubs at 6.45pm. Then my brother needs dropping off at football at 8pm, DD1 needs collecting at 8.15pm and then brother needs collecting at 9pm! So it's going to be a late night for the children unless I can see if someone from football is travelling back this way so he can have a lift home. I hate nights like this when Mr G is at work. Usually my brother isn't with us but it's unlucky he's here and needs taking places the same night that it's the 2-10 shift!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Got back from town just before 2pm (amazing queues at Bank, PO and Building Soc!) Went to Sainsburys and got Cathedral Cheddar on BOGOF, also chocolate for top of next 3 Tunis Cakes at 2 for £1.50 - bit extravagant I know but its their own brand Belgian Choc - nomnomnom and yes, I AM resisting it (at the moment, anyway;) ). Got the grease filters and some heavy duty descaler, also birthday card for soon-to-be-nine grandson. Found marzipan fruits in Woolworths for top of Tunis Cakes - saves me a job as my talents definitely DO NOT lie in that direction:D !
Grabbed a bit of lunch, finished a few more things on the list and then DH phoned - "could you clear out the larder cupboard and paint it inside". Not a big job.....the larder cupboard is a wall mounted one, about the same size as a standard kitchen cupboard but constructed in the gap where the Ancient Boiler used to sit, so it is actually a very shallow cupboard. So now my kitchen is disrupted again, hey ho!
Have cleaned paint off hands/brush/face (don't ask!) and thought I'd try to catch up with you all...........it is sooo cold out today, and there is a lazy wind blowing! Have just cat-nipped the puddas and they are completely spaced out (still not absolutely sure who did that furball though:rolleyes: ). Will make a cuppa and settle down to read.

I didn't know he was still going :rotfl:Does he still have his wellies labelled? :rotfl:This morning Iwas discharged from hospital (outpatients) after smashing my knee back in jULY...it has healed okay but my leg is not straight so I will walk with a limp for the rest of my life and it is agony at the moment as it is freezing....(can actually see snow on the mountians out the back window)..
Oh poor you. My DH suffers in the cold from various rugby-related injuries. Any sort of injury you do when you are younger always comes back to haunt you later in life. You should try moving somewhere hot and sunny(and I dragged my DH from somewhere hot and sunny to come and live somewhere cold, wet and windy. He hasn't forgiven me )
I was meant to have second interview today but they moved it to tomorrow morning..so the one day this week we had free is now not free....
