G&B - good luck with study. (I really need to start thinking about whether I want to do a course next year)

You should definately do one as long as its not too expensive, its so rewarding, really glad i eventually went back.
I'm going to whizz off now, go to Lidl, and meet my mother in town for lunch... hope she's paying, cos I'm not.... have I mentioned my new budget!!  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I really need to get my budget under control again! I cant remember who posted the idea of having £10 in your purse for the week, have decided to steal the idea:D Even put it in a little coin purse so i dont have any of my cards with me either:o

Just had some mildly bad news... X just got his payslip for when he gets paid on the 28th and its nearly £300 on short due being sent home ill last month and the way his shifts have fell ..... and to make matters worse its his last paypack before xmas    (and our first month without my maternity pay as    )

Hugs, thats annoying, hope you'll manage.

Gryfon - I put a dry hand towel in with damp towels as it reduces the time by absorbing some of the water. Think I'll use my plug thing to see how much mine uses.

Must try that next time! My washer/drier is on its last legs and is doing my head in. The washer stops mid cycle now for some reason so i have to manually turn it round til it starts again. Unfortunately its now out of its 5 year warranty/service plan so would not be worth getting it repaired, will wait til after xmas, hope it can limp along that far. It has been nothing but a pain in the bum since we got it, have lost count of the number of repairs done on it.

Got the washing in, partly dry but still needed hanging up round the radiators. Such a cold wind but at least it smells fresher.

Blinds fitted in bathroom and toilet today so it looks properly finished now. Ordered the one for the front bedroom so that will be more money to find in a couple of weeks time.

Ok I need to make tea, I have some left over chicken, milk dated the 22nd so needs using in food as it's a bit too creamy for my coffee and various other bits. But I really need to use the milk! Any ideas?

Getting through the kitchen very slowly!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

The big Georgian ones here with the proper leaded glass are £5-£7 a house.. depending on area (ie income) and number of windows.

Flip, that's cheap! In the last place we lived in a man came round to give me a quote - £15:eek: It was a bungalow! I didn't bother as I could reach all the windows myself.
