Sorry, didn't realise you needed more done (or is my oap memory at it again)- thought you were on the mend.
Hope it all goes well.
Lol, it was probably me confusing everyone!!! It was decided I needed an op last week but I thought it would take a few months before it actually happened. I'm going to use it positively though. I'm getting the house sorted this week, christmas will be finished off next week and then i've got my fortieth on the 9th and maybe the op on the 11th so i'll just enjoy those few days. I'm going to start collecting books, dvds and magazines and make the most out of being told to do nothing. Mind you...what was I like when i bust my wrist:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: - not the worlds best patient!!!:D
Right, off to start my bedroom xx0 -
You know what I just realised??... and feel free to laugh at me becaue I just giggled too... I want ... a job with one of those faby little Id badges with the magnetic strip thing on.. you know like on star gate.. swipe the card and the door unlocks...
Yes I am that shallow!
Can't you just get your hubby to fit one at home? :rotfl: If your children lose their swipey thing ... tough...no entry!0 -
Well you can get magnetic door openers! Although unfortunately the door doesn't open automatically.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

angelnikki can you ask on your local freecycle group if any one has a spare one? or is there a computer shop locally to you, they might have one.
Anw'smum hugs, my brother sort of washed his hands of sorting out our late mother's clothes / things, he claims it is women's work, so I understand to some extent what you are going through, I do a little every so often and take the view I will get there in the end, and as far as I am concerned there is no rush, if it take me 1 month or another 2 years or so, so what.
I am just amazed at what I have found, I was looking through the old photos, and newspaper cuttings started to fall out of the back of the various albums, I have read them, and put them carefully back in the right place, but I am not sure why ~ my mother isn't going to want them, my brother doesn't want them ~ I just feel wrong at the moment is chucking that sort of thing out.

Lots getting done here for once. Kitchen is clean and shiny, apart from the oven which is in use. Need to do more to the DR though, can't see the table for clean clothes from the WM marathon yesterday which need sorting and putting away. I have also dusted the ground floor to get rid of the plaster dust and hoovered throughout. Must do HHI as well.
Gryfon, I do 90% of my stuff in the TD, especially in the winter. If you over fill it nothing dries, and if you fold stuff when it is still hot then you can mostly get away without ironing. You can also use less fabric conditioner. Make sure you clear the fluff out every time becuase it reduces efficiency otherwise. not read ANY of todays posts... (note to self page 6.. ) will catch up later....
Just had some mildly bad news... X just got his payslip for when he gets paid on the 28th and its nearly £300 on short due being sent home ill last month and the way his shifts have fell ..... and to make matters worsw its his last paypack before xmas    (and our first month without my maternity pay as    )
Off to seriously re-work the budget and look at where we can economise... BA HUMBUG!!!0 -
Thanks hex. I've just put some towels in but on a 5lb load as it seems to be less than half full. Should be finished in 55 minutes, so will just get it done before the cheap time is up. All the clothes get hung up above Stanley or put on a dryer in front of him overnight so they're all dry in the morning. Towels though you also have to fold to get them on the dryer so by the morning the outside is dry but the inside is still wet.
I have about half an hour before I have to go and get child I'm looking after and try to keep him occupied. I think I get stressed as they run around and stand on things so maybe my next job will be floor clearing then it might not be so stressful!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
