Re: the washer - my new(ish) 8kg load washer is very good BUT takes 3 hours to run through a 40 deg c cycle (I know...but I wouldn't even wash my HANDS in water that cold...) if you want to know the brand/model I will tell you (I can't be bothered to go and look right now...). TBH IF you can use a laundrette til Jan you will probably get a bargain.valli - how's the planning going?;) I have pretty much finished mine including making a flashy powerpoint on cinema for my Year 9's. I'm hoping to add sound tomorrow - but need DS1 to help me sort that bit out! I just have to type up the lesson plans and upload to the school website (we have to do this every week). I'll get that done after breakfast.
I have sorted my DUMP bag - so am well pleased. Not finished tho'
Isn't sat. night TV BORING? I would vote David Van Day off but TBH I think he would be better off left in the jungle permanently...
Re x factor though - I am rubbish and feel sorry for ALL contestants so don't vote for ANY
Sarah at least you're making a start with the budget though. I haven't used my CCs for months but owe on them. Have just 'lost' BHS storecard - which I did pay off in full because they have changed supplier. I have 3 to pay off though. At the same time I am saving for a new bathroom suite and refit. I intend to pay cash for this so that's why I am saving despite the debt...and it sets a good example to DS. DD does not need a good example setting she is careful and sensible with money.
ETA Jo -no you DO deserve hugs and support and sympathy !!!!!! you are going through an awful time at the moment - because of someone else's selfish decision.
There are no rules (AFAIK) about housework only here - this is a total support htread...women doing what they have done through the ages...stay here and get the support you need and deserve...you are bound to feel down ...I made the split decision and still went through angst and guilt...you have had it thrust upon you. We are here and we care. End of!
I would be round with wine and chocs if I could ... and I wouldn't be alone either...
I bet we could have a comp (a bit like 'the last brownie' one in Notting Hill)...you would defo be in with a chance:rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Johanne sweetie, we will not ignore you and you will receive hugs...and like it!:grouphug:We love you! You are allowed to moan and mope at us, and your always there for us, so we're here for you...so there *blows raspberries*
Also, if it makes you feel better, I too have done no flying today (or to be honest, much during the week, it's been a bad flying week, must be something i the air). Now MARRIED!11/09/100 -
Oh Johanne
Please dont say no one can send you hugs n stuff. We have all had bad days, I've certainly had bad weeks! and thats the beauty of being here we all support each other when we need it. Having a little one is a tough job in itself without any of the added problems that any of us might have. Your dad is right in saying to you that he understands if you cant get a card, as his daughter and granddaughter it is much more important to him to see you with or without a card.
Have a hug and dont be cross with me please :grouphug: xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
hex a very good one, don't put it back yet, you've reminded me actually it's ages since mine was last done
Johanne I have sent an invisible hug so you can't see it and shout at me for sending it.
PF I got it in Boots, online thingy only has the little ones in http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?storeId=10052&catalogId=11051&langId=-1&pageSize=12&beginIndex=0&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&searchTerm=photo+bauble&x=0&y=0 but they are nice too. They were not on 3 for 2 or that cheap last year so I do wonder if the large ones have been discontinued. Some sellers on ebay do ones where they put the photo on a bauble but I wanted her to be able to choose which photos and maybe change them if she wanted to, some also sell the baubles seperate for quite a profit and put the photo in for you.....
I thought having a little food was going to make me feel better after I'd kept the fluid down for half an hour, wrong. Feel decidedly pleurgh again now and going to goto bed, wait for DS1 to settle then go to sleep as I am shattered. Hopefully feel better and more able to get stuff done in the morning.
Goodnight all xxxOne day I might be more organised...........

johanne - have been meaning for ages to suggest you read a book called 'women who love too much' by Robin Norwood. It's available on amazon for as little as 1p used, but I think it would help you think through things. Just my thoughts.
Haven't properly caught up but gather lil_me isn't feeling too good. pipgpen i hope the package arrived.
Am pretty much ready for bed now. no big plans for tomorrow, perhaps a bit of Christmas shopping. My main prob is I'v no idea what I want, poor DH needs some guidance!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
