Hiya
Massive hugs to everyone. I've been 'normal' today and been on a clinical aromatherapy course. Lots of chemistry which was great to get my brain working.
I should have booked in for this op years ago. I've been waiting for 6 or 7 years to get the house decorated. Came home from course and hall and stairs all decorated. Looks fab. I think DH is wanting to keep busy so he doesn't think too. What else do you reckon he can get done in a a week and a half???? So many positives.
Washing machine mended so done two loads of washing. Will start mega tidy up on Monday.
Any ideas for a pressie for a fab mate who has oodles of money so buys loads for herself. I'd like to get her something really special but have no idea what. Budget £15.
Speak to you all soon
Hugs xx0 -

Well I have a Hotpoint washing machine that has only died once and that was because Mr G kept leaving screws and drill bits in his pockets and I don't always check! Once we got everything cleared from the filter it seems to be running fine again. It's only about 2 years old though but we only paid £50 second hand
Oh and I'm loving my new tumble dryer! I say new, it's actually about 14 years oldA Zanussi that was free because the people that had it didn't need it anymore.
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

See you all Monday...have a lovely rest of the weekend and keep warm. It's been freezing hard all day today and the fog has only just lifted.

Mudbath it's going to have to be a thought behind the present one, what does she really love? People like that it tends to be taking the time to find their favourite girly movie, box of chocolates and some tissues as a hamper. DPs step mam we got her a bauble for the tree with a photo of her mum and dad in who are no longer with us which she cried for an hour over
, before that she'd put a photo of them near the tree saying that she wished they were there which I remembered, she couldn't thank me enough for the thought behind the present. I got her a spa voucher for her to get herself some me time the year her Mam took poorly, suppose for you you can do an IOU version. Things like that I think always count for special people.
Gryfon the old TDs are the best, nothing like them, I had a Phillips and I cried when it broke, it was bought by my parents before I was born and lasted over 28 years and inc nappies for many children, my nappies and my childrens nappies, nothing dried like it. Needed a belt when it was 23 years old but then the heater element went and couldn't get one. I hate my new Zanussi one, it's crap, it broke when it was 15 months old and it cost me £500! (Supposedly the best on the market at the time, more buttons than a starship! and it's crap!)
Goodluck pigpen!
Think I will watch tele for an hour then kitchen time, spent a lot of time relaxing today when I felt worse so hoping I have energy stored. One day I might be more organised...........

lil_me...ouch! I think the only white good I have that isn't second hand is my fridge freezer and that was in the sale :rotfl: I have a second hand dishwasher, washing machine, chest freezer and now tumble dryer. My theory is that if it breaks down after a years use the most I will have paid is about £50 which isn't bad for a year of use
I'm terrible for second hand goods though, my sofa was found in a garden waiting to be thrown out, my desk has come from my parents house, our dining room table was at the recycling place and the chairs and benches used with it were also free. All our beds were also free! One of these days I'll have enough money to buy nice new ones that aren't even in the sale
Right going to stick tea on, put the children to bed and try to clear lounge floor!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Gryfon why pay more money for the same thing? I've learned that one, the very hard way! I won't buy anything now without a decent offer.
Might move these boxes DP was going to move while I watch TV as it's obvious he's not going to.One day I might be more organised...........

Hi,
Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. Have done errands and emptied bins so am off to bed now. Am staying at Mum's tomorrow night to keep her company, so may not be online again until Monday. Goodnight!0 -
I have a TD too, but not too sure how old it is, as it was my ex hubbies before he met me, so it must be at LEAST 21 years old, and that too works like a dream, but I try to use the line first.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
