    Refilled coal bucket
    Lit fire
Made xmas cake ( better late than never:rolleyes: )
Made a mess in the kitchen Ds2 was helping and thought it would be a good idea to put a peeled satsuma in the slowcooker:confused:
    Cleaned up said mess
    Cooked Tea
    Wiped table
    Washed up
Bathed Ds2 and put him to bed

  • I'd move him and he'd just move back and look at me as if to say this is a cat basket and I'm a cat what's the problem.

hello everyone, just wanted a bit of advice.... my WM has gone :( and need a new one, my lovely mum has said she will get me one as my bday and xmas present (lucky as i could do without the pay out with xmas etc...) anyway she has said to look on argos (she gets staff discount...) and said there is some good washer and driers, has anybody got one or know anyone with one?? i dont have room to have seperate ones and i have so much washing now let alone when baby no3 comes along.
But im not to sure if they are any good???? so just wondered if any one had one or heard anything about them???
    thanks in advance.
    xxx

Personally I wouldn't have ANYTHING other than a zanussi or bosch.. the cheapy ones.. beko, indesit, Candy, servis are rubbish.. hotpoint last about a year at best before they fall to pieces and cost a small fortune to have repaired.

I have 2 washing machines and both are zanussi.. my last 4 were also zanussi and before that I had an ancient hoover and a whirlpool... I wouldn't have either of those gift wrapped.

    Evening everyone.
Had a lovely peaceful day today, DP had the kids while i went shopping with my mam(only food shopping but it was kid free wooohooo)

Got back and he has put all the decorations up and it actually looks fabulous. Need to get some more streamer thingies for the ceiling and maybe a few little singing toys, but I am really happy with how things look.

He also washed all the downstairs floors, and put a load of washing on!!!!
It must be my birthday lol.

My kids are settled into bed, my nephew will be going up in about an hour, then I am going to chill out with a bit more alcohol(DP not drinking and letting me have a lie in tomorrow)
Off to browse the internet for a while.

JayJay...done it now :) Got the carcass cooking so I can pick at it later and the rest is in the freezer.

Third load of washing on now. I missed a few days as we couldn't afford the washing powder so now I'm trying to catch up!

Got ingredients to make Christmas pudding tomorrow and hopefully the lounge will be tidy by then for the tree to go up. And we're having people around for tea so it'll be mass panic tidying in the dining room part of the kitchen...argh!

Very colourful decorations Zoey but there is something in the middle of them :rotfl: which makes them look even better :D
soappie I am sure she'll be up for more walks tomorrow :D mine don't do tired for long
Washers, I have had different makes with varied experiences. Large load capacity and a good quick wash with a lot of laundry would be a must for me. I personally have never had a good washer/dryer combi, I don't know why it's just the dryers are usually useless and you can only do one load at a time........so that's no use for me. I have my TD in the garage, it'd be in a shed if necessary, rather than having a combi one. http://www.washerhelp.co.uk/ has a good buyers guide inc ones which have large load capacities. The list is also on there of who owns who and which companies make which machines
Electrolux: own well over 50 brand names (though not all of them washing machines) Among the more well known ones are AEG, Tricity Bendix, Zanussi. Currently, The Electrolux group also make the John Lewis washing machines.
Candy: own Hoover, Zerowatt and Kelvinator among others.
Merloni: own Ariston, Indesit, New World, Philco, Hotpoint, Creda, Cannon, GDA, English Electric,Thorn (and many others)
Well I ended up doing the dropping off of stuff as DP was too busy with the sorting out, wouldn't care but it's not even his club it's for. This one made me more angry TBH they ordered something to tow all their stuff in knowing they didn't have anyone to pull it apart from my DP so taking a lend a bit IMO but he lets them......he even went all the way to Bham to collect it for them. He's the superhero to everyone everywhere else but home and it makes me a little cross sometimes.

Right moans aside, I won't need to post those presents now so that's one less xmas thing to do. I have a couple of ideas of what to get DPs Grandma (always a nightmare to buy for) I felt a little small when I came away from their house, I think it's because they tend to throw money around and were commenting about gifts from each other like a £2000 watch and tbh I see no reason to mention anything but 'a lovely watch' IYSWIM I didn't ask how much it was and was not interested. Suppose just some peoples thing really that success is money. Anyway they are the one group of people I can hand Xmas lists over for the boys without worrying how much it'll cost, others I am specific about what to get due to cost. They spend as much as we do on the boys most of the time so I may aswell get them to buy the other big things they want, especially as when I asked for their list they asked for Lego City, now they haddn't even mentioned that to me so no plan to buy any of it. One of the pieces they want is £70 so if Grandad is going to buy that who am I to argue! I need to see what Great Nana can get them yet, it's so complicated knowing what to say to who and praying for no duplicates!

Boys have gone to watch Merlin in bed, something they got into doing in the caravan and it's stuck, not that I mind I get some peace on a Saturday evening.

Mam can't babysit next week now because she's going out so looks like our night out is on hold until next year as DPs either at work or away every other evening before Xmas, just when he'd started to be nicer about going out :rotfl: sods law.

Spoke to DPs Dad about Xmas day, going there on the evening. His wife is cooking dinner after nightshift (midwife) so have said we'll just leave it to them and the older relatives then bring the boys over on the evening. My Dad has said he's 'away' over Xmas so haven't asked more, need to make sure Mam has somewhere to go. Going to have lunch here as it's much easier, just hoping everyone eats this time, last year the tummy bug struck here on Xmas day. It ends up being a right dash about day for us and I look forward to boxing day when it's just me and the boys with their new toys and some relax time (DP always out)

I need to work a little more on my bedget this evening, head was too furry last night to. I need to set an amount for food and stick to it or I just go daft and end up giving loads away.

I've risked having something to eat as my tummy was going nuts and I felt woosie how I get when I forget to eat, see how it stays. I should get that kitchen done tonight really, it's horrible.
One day I might be more organised...........
