Sssh. My Mum has offered to loan me the bathroom money but I am focussing on the 'setting a good example' as DS is a spendthrift.
Am thinking about consolidating and transferring though - bad case of CBA at the moment :rotfl:
Do a snowball calculation... that'll sort out any CBA moments!!     It's a nightmare when you realise how much money you're wasting!!
I know what you mean about setting a good example though.... but I bet with a bit of imaginative re-packaging you could rewrap borrowing the money..... like:
"Yes, I have borrowed the money to do the bathroom, this is because I am a grown up, and have done my sums, and have worked out the most cost effective way for us as a family to have the bathroom we need.... however, no, you/I/we can't have x y or z because we need to repay the bathroom money?"

Evening all,
Well I didn't think it could get any worse, oh how wrong I was!!
This morning we noticed there was yet another leak in the kitchen..yep another one. Yet another day where my kitchen floor got flooded..grr!! Well anyway after a lot of investigations and ruling out various things I finally located said leak. Oh joys was it a biggie.. From our main waste pipe in the kitchen, that goes straight into the ground - everything goes down this pipe - the toilet, bath and shower water, bathroom sink water, washing machine water and anything else that you have to put down the sink waterwise..
So I now have towels bunched up around where the leak is, the washing machine pushed back so that it is half poking out in the kitchen and a very clean washed kitchen floor.
We are now waiting for a plumber person from our insurance to come and sort the problem out. Hopefully it won't be too big a problem otherwise one side of the kitchen will have to be dismantled..eeeps!!!
Plus the boil washing that caused all this to manifest itself never washed properly so that has to be redone tomorrow..grr!!
See I told you it never rains but pours.. :-)
Oh and DH really laid into each other today, he took umbrance about me asking him to ring the insurance company as I point blank refused as I am always doing everything around the house and he gets away with it all. So I had enough this time and just told him flat out what I wanted him to do and how I was feeling. It made me feel better but he wasn't too happy that his quiet life was being upset. Thankfully after a good airing of words things are back to semi-normal now.
I'm now settling down with a glass of wine and watching Operation Petticoat on the V+ box.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
