I can go back to reusable nappies (:D) as we don't like yucky chemical filled sposies unless we really have to use them!
I will look forward to laundry days again.

I am part way through a catch up(thanks Lil_me will let you know) but it occurs to me to ask..
DD (12) is having period problems - lots of pain but is struggling and totally failing to take tablets...clearly at almost 13 she should be able to manage them and I would like her to anyway, just in case sh ever needs antibiotics or anything...
Any tips?
She is devastated - AF turned up today and a quick calc shows we expect her again on or before xmas day...she sobbed (26 day gap this time). I am not the best person to help her with this as I suffered so much as a teen with pain and I am trying so very hard to make light of it all and behave as though it will all settle...because it didn't for me. At least I was at an all girls school. Like wise with the tabs...if I could get something down her neck I could let her have some to take... I had problems for years ...the pain only went when I was on permanent meds (ibuprofen) for rheumatoid arthritis...I was also headache free for years....
Probably already been answered by now, but what about the liquid pain killers? I still use those for my DD1 (she's 12) if she has a headache. Or the dispersible/dissolvable type? I used to suffer really badly with the pain, and I struggled to swallow tablets for many years. I have to make sure I have a big mouthful of water with the tablet or it won't go down.0 -

Now if DH hadn't been off work today I could have seen my e-mail before 3.15 this afternoon and actually got some of those! I've been looking for some for ages but they are usually so expensive.0 -
Afternoon all,
No flying here again today:rolleyes: , i had toddlers this morning then went straight out to Tesco.
Ds2 is asleep and Ds1 should be unpacking the shopping.

Dusty - DD did start learning to drive, but again time is a problem. She leaves home at 7.15 and with a car share it's 6.15 when she gets in, but without it's usually at least 7.15. Her car share driver quite often has meetings at short notice, so unpredicatable. She's now decided she'll learn through the TA, which of course will save her money. :T
Great idea learning through the TA:T
Haven't done much flying this week, but dropped something on the bathroom floor earlier and realised I have 'dustbunnies' so that must be done.
Will join you, hollyh

cha97michelle wrote: »valli i'm wondering if one of the 2 pad TENS machines that you can get from lloyds chemists might be helpful for her. I sympathise as i was the same at that age and for years. You shouldn't really have to suffer should you. Exercise and eating well seemed to help me - plenty of fruit and veg rather than a chocolate and crisp slob fest. All you really want to do is curl up in a ball though isn't it. And it was always worse in cold weather too it seemed.
I used a TENS machine in labour, and recently bought a Lloyds one. They have a real "kick" with them! I don't think I noticed it being like that in labour (well you wouldn't would you :rotfl:).
I used to suffer really badly every month - until I had children. Rather a drastic cure though :rotfl::eek:0 -

He's always called me Nikki and introduced me to people as Nikki - even though that's not my name  so it's just stuck.

Hello fellow fly-ladies. I did manage to clean the bathroom (after I had a bath last night! I had a Lush twinkly, fizzy, lovely bath bomb to celebrate receipt of a large cheque which will clear my debts (see my thread on Debt-Free Wanabees if you are interested in that part of my life!) - which left the bath all oily and full of stars!
Friday - living area, hall
Level one
Declutter all these areas - especially my table which is my 'hub' of activity
Vacuum these areas
Extras - I am making a bag for morsbags - and joining in the guerrilla bagging event tomorrow (another thing I got into through this site!) - this first necessitates a trip down to the fabric shop to rummage in the remnants bin............will probably hoover at 11pm!
Debt free by 22 January 2009 - thanks to an unexpected inheritance - take heart - it DOES HAPPEN!0 -

Triker don't give up hun instead of wrapping the pressies, wrap up your head then you can't see it :rotfl:.
Nothing done yet downstairs despite good intentions. In between working I have cleaned out the decorating mess from SS1 bedroom as he needs to be back in there tonight, put the WM/TD/DW on, hoovered upstairs and S&S the bathroom. Tried to go and get some logs but Mr. Helpful left me with no fuel in my car yet again and no time to get some before school.
