  • Cats still sulking an hissing, please tell me they will get over it, I do feel so guilty. Kitten is a real purpants and loves attention. He is currently asleep in DH's office which is where he gets put to give the others a bit of space.

Yes they will get over it! My parents have my cat as when i moved out my old flat with my lovely big garden i had to find him a new home and they very kindly took him. They already had a cat and there was a few days of posturing and hissing but now they get on like a house on fire! They both sleep in my mums office in baskets next to each other, they quite often play fight etc but it never gets nasty.

Michelle it was me that said i'd always wanted a black cat, doesnt mean i want one now unfortunately:p If i could i would have my own one back in a second because he's a lovely old gent. Not practical though:( Hope your sister is doing better.

DD and I were just reminiscing and laughing the other day. From mum being 75 we have always said about making each xmas special for her as thats when she started with ill health. There have been a few times when we certainly thought that was it. Now here we are and she is 91.
So fifteen 'this could be Gran's last xmas'...:rotfl: and 15 years of special memories...can't be bad!

Morning all. What they call 'white over' hereabouts...in English that means it's frosty. Undeterred I have pegged out my towels (because the sky is bright blue) and have a load of white bedding plus a few bits in now.
Friday errand is done:D pots are washed and I am just having a restorative coffee before I have a bath, change the beds and throw myself at the Friday list, as yet unseen. I am very pleased because the forecast was for rain today...love bright blue skies.
Am now debating whether to fling my money at the Avon light...I have no trouble waking up though - it's getting out of my nice warm bed that I don't seem to be able to manage:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I will go read my pm.

BTW I haven't tried calpol but I was hoping to wean her off it...she really likes it!:o

Well I've been attacking the lounge of the clutter and looks a teeny bit better. The trouble is the corner between a sofa and some shelves where things have just been thrown. I know I need another large box though for some toys as the box we have is overflowing.

Going to have a shower now as I smell

  • Morning All :hello:

I hope everyone's well today. I've got plenty of pottering around to do today.

I trying to decide whether to get a take away tonight.... as, I'm not sure if I mentioned the new budget? Anyway, as a first week goes it's not been bad at all, so I can stretch to a yummy take away for tea. (esp as DD1 isn't back till tomorrow, so it'll only be for 4 of us)

The only downer has been the eggs that I bought at the local green grocer. Supposedly free range? hmmmm.... they may be, but they aint fresh that's for sure!! I'm so used to really good fresh organic eggs from my veg box.... so now, nothing else will do really. (spoilt)

The veg box is a casualty of the budget. I don't like or trust supermarket eggs. (free range, organic or not) So, the eggs thing is a conundrum.

Any suggestions for 10 not too fresh, very large eggs?

Ok, pooch has had a lovely fresh frosty walk. I'm really hungry this morning, my porridge is no longer filling my tum! So I guess I'll go and root around the cupboards/fridge for brunch.
