    Hi Penny,

I'll join you, as I'm still lurking on here half an hour after I said I'd start the bathroom!

Okay, I'm off to do it now!

Penny, I think I see you as the more homely throwing herself into it, I have seen your love of Christmas mentioned, music on in the backgroud while sipping a nice glass of mulled wine decorating the tree.........these types usually do their tree early. Oh and I am in with you, will set this loaf away AFTER I have cleared the bench.....dumped on again......then a load in the WM inc DS1s school coat while I have an extra day to dry it, TD emptied and fold that lot, stuff from wm on airers/in dryer

Right, duck recipe found, what we do for ducks eh, I hope he takes DS1 now, if not we'll go tomorrow :D
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning everyone.

Lil_me think i will just get cheap decorations from the poundshop.
PF i think your DD's just stressed.
    Dusty what a lovely kitten.
Tooch my tree will be up tonight but normally it's the 1st that it goes up.

Right plan today is livingroom, find a torch that works and get the rest of the christmas stuff down. Need to go clean out the guinea pig and rabbit, put the dog out for a while and bring in sticks.

    Better go make a start.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I'll join in as well. I'm confused to why I don't have as many presents already bought as I thought I had! Was so sure I'd got loads! According to the lists I've just written I've only bought about 7 :o

    Morning everyone.

Quite cold and frosty here today. I went out early to Nettos as they had the shower gel the GSs like very cheap. None left though.

Off to a community action thing now in the park then going to see mum. After that its off to DDs for a cuppa. Will tackle the list later.

Hugs to everyone who needs one.

Serena. I will be buying her an outfit for xmas day then its maybe other clothes she needs. But I will also be looking for silly colourful things for her. Toiletries is another thing. I do find it hard and the family ask me what to get her. She likes chocolate as well. If I have any wonderful brainwaves will let you know.

DD and I were just reminiscing and laughing the other day. From mum being 75 we have always said about making each xmas special for her as thats when she started with ill health. There have been a few times when we certainly thought that was it. Now here we are and she is 91.

    RANT ALERT
Well I was doing so well - 1 wall light up and then I unpacked the second and one of the glass shades is broken. Rang Mr T and I've got to take it back to a Tesco Direct counter where they can then arrange a replacement. Nearest one is 30 minutes drive. Why can't they just send out a replacement and collect the broken one when they deliver?
    RANT OVER

So I'm now going to get on with the cleaning. Hope everyone is having a better day than me.

    Morning girlies

PF special hugs for you, you do so much for your kids and it is tough when it is not appreciated. Has she thought of learning to drive herself or is that far too expensive? It's so hard with kids these days, from 18 I was pretty independant, although I still lived at home I was working, driving etc. I don't think kids know how good they have it.

Cats still sulking an hissing, please tell me they will get over it, I do feel so guilty. Kitten is a real purpants and loves attention. He is currently asleep in DH's office which is where he gets put to give the others a bit of space.

Going to crack on for an hour and see how much I can get done.

Lil-me, thanks for the offer I'll take you up on it, the cards will be on their way to you in a couple of days.

I've cleared all the stray shoes from the hall - 5 pairs of OH's scattered over the floor:eek: I've brought the dyson down from the spare room so will be dealing with the carpet soon, All the newspapers are out of the box and in the paper bin, and I have cleared the coats off the banister. I'm going to B & Q later to get so paint for the spare room so I will have a look at the coat hooks - need to solve the coat problem long term, it's been driving me nuts for years but this flying lark has got me actualy round to doing something about it:rotfl:

Off to get rid of the clutter in the kitchen so will see you all later.
