Anyway, she is going to ask if one of her friends can bring her home tonight. If she comes by train she won't get back to Newprot until 7 and has to be at the TA for 7.30 so no time to eat or shower first. I said if she lets me know asap, I will rearrange the vets etc. To be fair, she's probably stressed about this weekend as it's her first and she'll be keen to make sure everything is right because of her dad, although someone told him on Wednesday that she is the only one who has submitted all the correct paperwork.

Well I don't know your DD, but that would do it for me (I hate new situations where I don't know the ropes and am scared of making a fool of myself).
And, of course, when you are stressed it's those closest to you who cop the fall-out.

    Morning folks

Not much to report here, did a lot of nothing last night!

Sorting out my first Christmas present run for Saturday, as I don't want to drive 150+ mile to find I have left something at home! I have a large box by the front door and everything is going in there, just had to remove cat2 from the box as she seems to think it is a good place to sleep!

It is foggy here at the moment, in fact I think it is worse now than when I got up.

I use to love toga parties when I was younger :rotfl:

And I have a strange vision of Johanne chasing round her garden after this squirrel with a water pistol :rotfl:

Hugs to those that need them.

Like I said, Johanne leads an exciting life! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

CS - I'll be off on the Bristol run later! There's no one able to give her a lift (she does give them fuel and bridge toll) so it's down to me! The joys of being a mother. You see it's my Daddy's fault! Mummy couldn't drive, so if I went anywhere, he always came to collect me. I used to go to the Dunblane Hyrdo every week with my friend and our Dad's used to do the runs, one would take and one pick up.

Still not had breakfast as I feel quite yucky, but I'd better make a move. The washing machine won't load itself.

I'm in today - caught up with the thread before the school run, have now done the washing up and put in the second load of washing. Just taking a break on here before doing the bathroom, then the weekly shopping I think.

DD shovelled out her bedroom (literally I suspect, as I haven't seen the carpet for weeks) yesterday, so I can vacuum all the upstairs floors later, and do all the teens' bedlinen over the next couple of days.

Pink Fairy - oh, I have one like that - whatever the tantrum and strop is about, the actual real problem is usually something totally different! I do hope that you are feeling better this morning. Don't quit college. I'm still thowing occasional tantrums about my three helping more now I'm back at work - of course, threatening to give up, so they lose all those extra goodies and cash works quite well!

michelle - glad to read that your sister is feeling a bit better, and I hope they get to the bottom of it soon.

boddy - what are you getting your mum for Christmas? I'm struggling for ideas here. I think I may offer to pay for an aromatherapy session, as that's something she likes, and maybe buy her another orchid. The one I bought last year has only just stopped flowering after eleven months! It's her birthday on the 20th as well.

tooch - decorations go up here around the 20th, and come down as soon after Christmas as I can get away with. I get fed up with the clutter... Having said that, I have a massive amount of clearing to do before I have a space for the tree, as all the things that were removed from the bedroom as they properly belong on shelves in the livingroom are still stacked up behind the sofa 11 months later:o

    :hello:Hi! dusty! That's a very sweet kitten.

:hello:Hi to hex, and Anw's mum as well!

I seen your message after I resent it Gryfon so you have it twice now, nice to hear you sounding a bit more positive. I think you are right in what you said and do literally that, find everything you have and buy what you NEED. I NEED to be more strict with myself this year too.
Penny now I would have had you down as a December the 1st girl
PF if she keeps disrespecting you you could come and be my Mum any day of the week. With the maths thing, I think it sounds more like motivation, keeping reminding her why she's doing it, as that seems to be why she got a D the first time.
kassey you're just way too organised! I haven't even got the cards yet, however I will be getting them today. Need to buy a squillion for the kids too.

Our decorations depends how long I can cope with DSs moanings, DS2 is lights mad! Actually it does get them to help clear/sort out which is what it's been about this week, so not too bad. I am a bit mean however and rarely have the lights on. DP on the other hand would have the house like Blackpool, he's on about putting them on the roof this year, I am hoping his fear of heights and laziness gets the better of him! He acts like a right bah humbug but he's an overexcited child inside. We had ours up first in the street last year so talked him into being quite conservative, there is only 2 houses with young children and pressumed people would put less up. Wow I was wrong, we seemed to start a competition and within 48 hours it was a street of lights :rotfl: It's like when you do your lawn here, everyone else does, weird :rotfl:

Right, today, DS2 walked to school and took the dogs with me because it's white out there and brrrrrrr so thought 2 birds one stone as when I got back from the school I wouldn't go walking again, so went straight to the fields from the school.

DPs surpised me even more, asked me for bread today to feed the ducks as that is what DS1 wants to do go and feed the ducks, so I will make some but not holding my breath that he takes him. He has NEVER on his own took either or both of them to feed the ducks, I can guess there will be another motive, he'll want to take photos or something too, but the effort alone will shock me if he does it. Need to goto asda, just buying jam all week I am thrilled that it's worked but need a few bits, want to get mine and the boys cards, boys postbox opens on Monday.

Right need to download the recipe book for my BM as it's missing, want a fastbake loaf for the ducks :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

Really ;) Do tell me why - it's intriguing the impresssion we give people over the forum, rather than IRL :D

What a gorgeous morning - I've been for a short run, and it's beautifully frosty and clear. I'm rehearsing Handel's Messiah, so sang loudly along the river bank :rotfl: :rotfl:

Those windows aren't going to clean themselves - anyone for a HHC from 10 to 10:30  I need a motivation buddy to do this :o
