Good luck I had similar problems my case has now been ongoing for nearly five years with numerous complaints to Chief Exec - I am receiving payments from my partner now (since August) but am still awaiting special payment. I also said I was not happy to close my complaint as not everything is resolved - was told complaint had to be closed due to length of time had been open!!!0

Surely they can't close it until it's resolved? And did you involve your MP?Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Have you been to see your MP in the flesh (so to speak)
Why should you consider his feelings at all - he's not treating you or your daughter with the respect that you deserve.
I split with my ex when my daughter was 5, she is now 16 and has only recently been exposed to the truth about her father, about what a liar he is and how selfish he is. I'm lucky that I don't have to communicate with him anymore, but he still continues to lie about his income.0 -

if they have 'closed' the complaint then surely you can take it to the ICE now?0 -

No. I guess I better be prepared to do that.

Doesn't it hurt so much when you see the realisation in their face? My girls from first marriage see a lot of their father, and it's only in the last few years that they have realised/accepted that Daddy loves them but he's not too brilliant at 'being there'.

I've heard that you'll get a better response if you actually see the MP rather than communicate by email / letter.
Yep, it hurts a lot - I'm struggling with my daughter at the moment - he's told her he can't afford to pay for her train ticket to see him at Christmas, yet he's also organising a massive house party for new years eve. She's gutted - but she won't tell him or let on.0 -

Thanks for that - will look into it - hope to hear back from him shortly anyway since he responded so quickly to the first email. If only to get me off his back! :rolleyes:frugallass wrote: »Yep, it hurts a lot - I'm struggling with my daughter at the moment - he's told her he can't afford to pay for her train ticket to see him at Christmas, yet he's also organising a massive house party for new years eve. I am definitely unstuck! Spoke to my caseworker yesterday afternoon, and they are tidying up bits and pieces (getting details from other site, removing errors from my application) and then they will be able to do the assessment. She said she will contact me on Monday for a quick update. She also explained that she would be doing the paperwork for the consolatory paperwork so would do her best to ensure that all of the mistakes made at their end were listed.
So I may be getting the child support from him 'officially' from January, although obviously I'm not counting any chickens.
I also sent him an email saying we needed to discuss the arrears on the private arrangement - the CSA were not going to chase him for them, but I expect him to pay them because it's what we agreed. Hopefully neither of us wants things to get nasty, so we should be able to come to some agreement where he pays me what he said he would for the end of the year.
Thanks for reading my rambles and listening to me complain. Will update this when/if I hear anything. :hello:Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000
