Morning
Its freezing and wet here and it looks like we had either a dusting of snow or a very heavy frost last night, the bird bath is frozen over, so it looks like the birds will be skating today
I've been up since 5am, could'nt sleep don't know why, just something nagging at me, don't know what eitherI just feel really unsettled, its weird.
Got quite a bit done though, only quiet stuff as OH still snoring away, and I did'nt want to wake him, I sometimes need to be on my own for a bit.
Have parcelled up 2 jiffy bags of knitting, to be sent to the charities our group (Wooligans) send to, answered a load of e'mails, wrote a couple of birthday cards out then made a :coffee: and came on here for a wander.
I am cooking Lunch time today so I've peeled spuds, prepared veg, the pork and stuffing is in the fridge, pudding... not sure yet maybe rice pud.
I am really  I pre-ordered 'Mama Mia' from Amazon and my friend now tells me its advertised in Woollies for £9:99  Ah well I wont do that again.
Keep warm everyone especially all you poorly ones xx
Anne

Smokey-I am so pleased that we have heard from you, I was really starting to worry. Sorry to hear of your son's behaviour atm, but with the right help this will improve and hopefully he can get back to his normal self. Grief affects us in so many ways-maybe he is acting up to get attention so that he doesnt have to think about his dad. Your PJ day sounds lovely and your meals for today also. You are an amazing lady Smokey and Eric would be very proud of you! Take care. Hugs. PP xx
WM is on and will be put on the airer. Toilet has been cleaned too:D
OH has prepared the potatoes, sprouts, carrots and cabbage already for dinner later and has got the joint ready to go in the fridge. He is just making DD & I Boiled Egg & Soldiers, then I can have my pain killers as I need food in my tummy for them to work and not make me feel sick.
Its very cold here today, so will be under the quilt on the sofa with a hot water bottle.
Have a nice Sunday.

Good Morning All
N9eav - would your daughter every forgive you???
Smokey lots of (((hugs)))
No snow here but very cold. DS will need to wrap up warm for his footie match. Its away so I wont be going (thankfully).
I am lucky, we have a turkey farm just down the road & I have ordered out turkey - 15lb as its cheaper to get a bigger one. Yesterday I picked up some nice rib of beef for dinner today from the butchers so will be having that at lunchtime.
Just about to jump in the bath then this morning will get on with housework, ironing and washing - it seems very never ending this weekend.
OS - 2 loaves of bread need to be made today. Also 1 carrot cake.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Good morning everyone - I havent posted on this thread before but hope you are all well and snuggled up nice and cosy. Its been a fair bit snow here and looks like some more on the way so the soup pot is out and the BM on. Made wheat free/dairy free gingerbread men last night for my wee neice as she has allergies/intolerances and I am really pleased with them - only thing is I dont think I will get visitors today due to the snow. DD stayed with us last night - her baby is due in just over 3 weeks but she may have to have a section next week so really have to get meals organised and even get xmas stuff finished as she will be coming here to stay for a wee while (partner bu**ered off but hey-ho who needs them if the are so selfish!) Must crack on folks - have a great day!Every days a School day!0

doesn't seem too cold here (but then I don't seem to feel it as much as some people anyway). I want snow...but only when I don't have to go out or drive around in it!!!
Diva, thank you - am feeling much better than I was, although it's taken a good couple of weeks. Tell your OH not to do too much!!! Do butchers usually have oxtails available or is it something you have to ask them for a few days before?
N9eav, I never find bargains like that in Asda. Or Mr T, or anywhere come to thatThe YS stuff I always see has about 20p knocked off the original price...
Halight, will have a look at that thread about the meat then thank you!
Smoky, I'm sorry things are so tough for you right now - are you still getting support from family around you? And perhaps being able to offload to someone who isn't involved will be good for your eldest? My 16 yr old DD has just been having some counselling for a few weeks, and think it has helped her. She doesn't have to consider that what she's saying could upset the person as they're not in the middle of the situation, so she can tell them exactly how she feels. It gets it out of her head - and maybe that will help your eldest. (((((((((((huge hugs))))))))))) to all of you.
Just going to start typing some of my letters for the office, did it at this time last week & it's quite good (house quiet, not much else to do). Had to go into town for a bit yesterday PM & it was manic - I am not going anywhere near it on a weekend until after Xmas now!!!! Later I will dig out the Xmas stuff & see what's there (think we need new lights).
Also need to hoover everywhere, mop kitchen floor, unload DW, and sort dinner!
(((((((((hugs)))))))))) for all those needing them.

Morning evveryone, well its wet & windy here, doubt if there is any chance of snow. Woke early this morning, thinking it was Monday. I work every Saturday, but had yesterday off, so my body thinks its Monday, not Sunday. Anyway, I've put the time to good use, making my second batch of Twinks Hob Knobs, they didn't come out as good as the first lot though. I bought some value syrup & it has no taste to it, so my biscuits are really bland tasting. Any suggestions on what to do with 45 bland biscuits?
Bit of a strange day yesterday, started off by getting butchered in the barbers and some nice trims in the butchers. It should have been the other way round, shouldn't it? Then went on to a service for the scattering of my Gran's ashes. As we walked upto the crematorium, my dad stopped an old boy coming away from the previous service, the old boy looked at him and said my dads name & the name of the farm he grew up on. We didn't think anything off it until we found out that the last time they saw each other was when he bought the farm from my grandparents, in 1973! How they recognised each other I don't know, my dad said he just knew it was him.
Going to cook a full English now for breakfast and a lamb curry for tea, shouldn't need lunch.
Have a good day everybody, keep wrapped up warm.0
