    What problems?

If you login to internet banking, under 'Welcome to Internet Banking', there is a link which says 'Activate new card – find out more':

If you click on it, it says:
In the future all credit and debit cards will need to be activated before they can be used. Cards requiring activation will be sent out with a sticker advising that the card needs to be activated. Simply follow the instructions that will be sent with your new card. The 'Quick link' within Personal Internet Banking will be available even if you have no cards to be activated. You do not need to do anything unless you receive a card with a sticker.
    and also includes some FAQs.
