Hi guys,
long time no speak.
The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a trial. I have caught the eldest stealing out of my purse - duly punished with withdrawl of his gamecube time for a week and an evening (well, 6pm until morning) in bed without his tea and no cubs that week - this has caused a lot of soul searching for me. Combined with his deliberate weeing everywhere (LO's bed, soaking undies found in DS's art drawer, under the bed and his own bed on a regular basis, his vocal 'shut up, shut up' when the other two talk about their dad I have come to the conclusion that he needs something more than I can provide. I have an appointment on Tues at the surgery to discuss where I can go from here with him. He is encouraging LO to repeat disgusting language and finds it hilarious and has started physically lashing out at the other two. TBH I am at my wits end with him.
Next week would have been our 9th wedding anniversary - 10 years together as we were lucky enough to be able to arrange the wedding 1 year to the day we that first went out as a couple and I must admit that this *1st* is hitting me harder than I thought it would. At this point I would give anything to turn back the clock and grab some extra time. I miss him so much.
OS wise - I am up to date with the washing but not the ironing   The house is spotless (not for long) and I have started to make inroads in to the latest sewing pile. I am toying with the idea of getting someone in to decorate the hall, stairs and landing as I recognise that it really isn't my forte and the weeks of stress it would cause if I tried to do it would just turn out to be a nightmare. I am going to put new carpets down but I think it would be better to do this after it is decoarted.
Tomorrow (oops today) will be a PJ day and I plan to touch up the paintwork in the bedrooms (again!) do the ironing and catch up with the sewing whilst we all watch the new Narnia film. Lunch will be pasta (shapes - kiddies choice) with HM sauce and HM garlic bread and tea - roast Lamb and all the trimmings.
Hugs, happy birthday wishes and congratulations to all - belated or otherwise. (sorry not caught up)
Pen-pin - Glad to see you back - I hope you are coping through OK.
Mioliere - I am so glad to see you Mioliering as usual
The rest of you - thank you for listenig to my witterings.

Oh smoky ((hugs)) you are going through a bad patch. I'm sure your Wedding Anniversary will be about the most painful "first" ( other than the actual anniversary of Eric's death) that you'll have. If we could take away your pain, be sure we would.
With regards to the eldest, yes I think you're right to try and get some professional help for him. Perhaps it is being the eldest (and his actual age) that makes his adjustment harder than the other two. Or maybe just his individual personality. Whatever, he might find it easier to talk to a stranger, who will have encountered this situation before, and will have a range of strategies to deal with it. I never used to have a lot of time for "experts" in children's matters, but having seen my grandson respond to his "therapist" ( he has delayed development) I'm a convert:o :rotfl:
Good luck, thinking of you often, CM xxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
