I'm going to miss roboform is an alternative form filler that would not pose a risk by any chance?

Id follow Gunjacks advice and uninstall windows defender

Reinstall roboform if thats what your after ~ it was more to check if its what was causing it

Download and run STARTUP LITE to stop any unecessary programs from starting up
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/startuplite.php

    Download and install defraggler
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_defraggler/

Run cccleaners top scan to remove all temp files
THEN defrag using defraggler (Way better than windows inbuilt one)

    And thats it methinks :)
