  • Wedding on NYE!!! I don't think I'd fancy organising that!! I'm attending a wedding on Valentines day this year.... my OH's cousin! Not best pleased about that one!

It's got to that time of the day when I just don't fancy working myself!! Just spent the afternoon looking at offshoring figures and feel like I deserve a bit of a break now!!!

  • Hi Everyone!

Well it has reached that time of the afternoon when I really cannot be bothered to do anymore, so I thought I would take the opportunity to write a slightly longer note on here!

    So - a little update
    • Housework christmas eve morning - then the rest of the day is mine - ALL MINE!
    • A little extra cash in my purse as didn't attend OH's work do owing to him being poorly bunny. If he hadn't have looked sooo rough I think he may have gone, but he looked like a boggle eyed frog!:rotfl:
    • 11 working hours and then thats it for the year!
    • Present to buy for wedding we're attending on New Years Eve (married on NYE!! I ask you!?)

Good shout on housework out of the way - be nice to chill over xmas and not worry about it!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at boggle eyed frog - bless him!! Does he know you called him that ;) lol!!!

Ooo 11 hours - I'm counting down with you now!!!

Wedding NYE - I guess that's one way of making sure you have a good party!! Quite like the idea - but it is a bit strange nonetheless!!!

Wish me luck - i'm off food shopping! :(

  • Morning hun!!

Shopping was ok – like you not as bad as I thought – I had mentally prepared myself for the worst, so was pleasantly surprised! Must admit on popping back to shop today (read my thread – bad chicken!! - it was off btw not misbehaved ;)) it was mental in there – and it was 8.30am!!!! I think a lot of people have today off and were going in there!! More fool them – we are the wise ones ;)

LOL at your bit to help the cashiers!!! Fair play hun!!!

Finish at 5.30 – so counting down from now – 7.5 hours to go (6.5 if you take off lunch!!) then no more work for 12 days!! WOOOHOOOO

Hope you’re tidying your desk young lady :p;):D

 HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
    Hi all!

Hope you had a good time off work. I haven't really posted much on here since the 23rd December, but now I am back at work I thought I would get back into it!! So here I am!

Well, I have sorted my budget for this week and have been organised enough to look forward to next week as well as its a biggy with 2 large payments going out. I have withdrawn £50 for this week. I am hoping that I don't need any diesel though (should I still put it in anyway?) and we have sooo much food in the house that shopping should be well below my £20 allowance. I had to carry £120 forward to next week as I am due to pay out more than I earn. But, I have a chance to move one of the DD's (without charge) once, so I will move it to the end of the month when I have a week where I very rarely have anything going out! Hopefully that will even out the weeks a bit!

So, as of today, my self-imposed OD is at -£680 (still, I know I know), but even with the money set aside for next week, I should be able to reduce this to about -£580 next week (which is 2 weeks ahead of schedule - if it works out that way.)

Have looked online and this month I will only be paying interest on my OD - approx £7.50. Which is soooo much better than the charges.... yes, I have paid upto £150 in charges in a single month before (but never, ever again!). I am trying to get my charges back from lovely HSBC, as I believe that the condition relating to over £500 in charges in a single year means that I should be able to reclaim now as this is a hardship criteria that I definitely meet (£2250 charges in 3 years!!!), but they don't want to play ball and now that I have got my finances (more) under control, I don't think they'll give in as easily as I was hoping! Hmmmm - what I could do with £2250!!

Oh, and I found a NS&I account book at my mums yesterday with about £47 in it, so I plan to send it off to update the interest this week. I'm not planning on spending it, just nice to know that I have a little more tucked away incase something very very terrible should happen!

Well, thats about it for now. I know I have rambled, but its good for the soul!!:rotfl: And despite not being on here much at all over rimbo its nice to know that I haven't fallen off the wagon!

So a big hello again to everyone - I have missed you all.

Nat x (off to do some work!!)
