    Morning peeps

Very very cold here this morning and very windy too, i went out about an hour ago to hang out some thick towels on the line and the wind almost cut me in half  on the good side the towels should dry though :D

Well i`m absolutely knackered and couldn`t sleep in despite only having 5 hours sleep last night, i`m on late shift again today and if it`s anything like yesterday i will have had enough in the first 5 minutes never mind 9 hours

I`ve now hung the washing up and emptied the bm, fed the houndies and i shall have another cuppa before walking them. Mr Sunny kindly emptied the dw for me before he left so thats one job less to do.:D

Tonights meal will be omelette and beans - something nice and quick and i need to hunt down my meal planner to find out if there`s anything that i need to defrost/prep for tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Hester :bdaycake: have a wonderful day.

Candygirl - ((((HUGS)))) coming your way

Hopefully i`ll be back later, Have a good one peeps.

    Happy Birthday Hester!

Well, I'm up bright and early (for me, student you know :p) but not been very productive with it so far! Got a Drs appt at half ten to get some help with a health questionnaire for a job (they want to know everything) then meeting a friend this afternoon for coffee (we have great fun trying to find the cheapest place, especially since my SU recently turned into a Starbucks  !). Trying to decide whether to go to Mr T's in between to get some supplies for the weekend or whether to go on way home later, ah well, we'll see how I feel. The 'pies' went down well yesterday, OH says they're more like bakes so we'll be calling them that from now on, we had a friend over for dinner too and he seemed to like it. It's all good coz neither of them eat much in the way of veg so whizzing it up in the food processor worked a treat :)

Thinking of making that ginger cake for the weekend and maybe some stuffed baked potatoes which I found that look good (though I'm gonna alter it a little to suit us more). I'm not good at following recipes, I get bored and improvise so it'll be a challenge to stay on course with the ginger biscuit cake.

Sending a tonne of hugs to all that need/want them today. It's freezing cold here and was pouring with rain until about ten mins ago so we'll all be needing hugs to keep warm.

I find that Oxfam is pretty good for Christmas cards, iirc they had quite a few religios ones. I've been quite good the last few years and bought a load in the sales so always have enough without buying them at full price (I never thought I was thrifty either!).

Right off to write a shopping list so I wont get distracted if I do go to Mr T's. Have a good day everyone and hope you all get the things done that you want to. Will report back on my culinary experiments at some point, actually wanted to say thanks to you all for your support and encouragement, it's part of what is keeping me going in the cooking area despite my deep dislike of it

Good morning everyone. Getting colder here today, lets see what the weekend brings. I'm in work today and there will be no cooking of any form today, we have been invited to my mum's for tea, which is handy as our son has his guitar lesson half a mile from mum's so it should be a fairly relaxed evening, instead of the usual rush.

Picked up some cheese scones in Asda last night, 8 for 74p, so thats breakfast sorted for the next few days.

    Happy birthday Hester.

    Morning Everyone!

Haven't posted for a while, but have tried to keep up with reading posts, can't say I have always managed it... ;)

Right lets see ((((((hugs))))))))) for all those needing them and Happy Bday Hester!

Joshua is now doing really well sleeping in his own room. He wakes up maybe twice a night for some milk, and I don't count the 6am wake up as a wake up as I get up at that one for the morning! He is being weaned and so eats three meals a day (all HM!) and is now moving on to eating meals that we eat, rather than individual veggies and a bit of meat! I will keep him doing that at lunch times though, so I don't get a freezer drawer back yet!

Jessica has been ill this week and is finally better and wanting to eat, which is such a relief! I have never been so pleased at her wanting to eat junk before (of course she isn't, toast and light foods only for a bit lol) she can have some "junk" (Twinks hobnobs!) tomorrow!

Right I need to get a move on today as my Mum is babysitting here tonight and my house whilst clean and tidy needs a bit of a tidy in the craft area and the kitchen needs a major clean (ha!) so had better get that done so I can relax whilst I am out and not worry that my Mum is judging my home!

    Speak to you all soon

  • Hester - happy birthday! I hope you have a very happy year to come. Please let us know if Mrs Degree comes in.

Hugs to all - it is so good we can come on here.

I feel a bit better 'in myself' re depression, but the tablets are making me feel very bad. So I am going to be seriously sensible, eat and drink properly, get enough sleep :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sorry, I couldn't even type that straight faced.

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed as a lot needs to be done and I don't know where to start, so I shall start in the middle and just keep going. The tablets can make me feel very poorly, so I shall do what I can when I can. I think the first place I should start for my own sanity is ironing, as it is becoming a bit of a problem. Two more loads in the washing machine and my ironing pile will be visible from space.

    Mornin :hello:

I am earlier today, WM on and 2nd load should be finished in a mo,having a cuppa before I start on the bathroom, thought I'd have a wander round here for a bit while I drink it and get some ideas for Dinner :D
OH keeps asking me to make some soup anybody got a recipe for carrot and coriander, I know the obvious ingredients the C/C but not sure how to thicken it?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Hester hope its a good one :bdaycake:

Glad you are feeling a little better today Sybil, try not to do too much you dont have to do it all in one day. If you split the ironing up, and just do maybe half an hour, you will be amazed how much you can get done in that time. x
JackieO hope all goes well today
Hi Pippad long time no see :D

    See you later

Morning everyone, and happy birthday to Hester sorry I dont know how to post a cake!!
Feeling a bit tired this morning as the wind was howling so much last night so found it hard to get to sleep. Anyway kids off to school and DH at work, had to pick up youngest early yesterday he took a nasty bump to head but was full of himself last night playing with his friends. Twinks hobnobs made yesterday are almost gone from the four extra kids I was looking after for a while yesterday!! Have just put in some of the peanut butter cookies they smell nice so I'll see if they go down well. Have to pick up eldest for a dentist appointment at 11.30 so probably wont get home till around 1.30.
Think it will be lasagne for tea tonight with some yellow sticker mince I picked up on Tues. Have a good day everyone and hugs to anyone who needs them. Thanks for the welcome too folks.
