Well, I've woken today with an absolute stinking head cold. You know the one, head aching, ears ringing, eyes watering, throat aching, bunged right up. Typical isnt it.

Me too Kiwichick, yukky isn't it? Thank goodness for the home made soup in the fridge, oh is warming it up right now. It pays to cook double quantities at times like this.

  • Hi Everyone,
I've been to Aldi and Sainsburys today and filled up the car, and came in under budget, yay! Also I must shop at the wrong time as I never get any bargains but today I bought a chocolate and orange layer cake, looks yummy for 25p!
Also went to wool shop, as my mum came shopping with me, she has been knitting gorgeous fluffy scarves and now everyone wants one, so had to go and get more wool.

Have unpacked shopping, emptied compost bin in kitchen into compost bin in garden, hung an airer full of washing and put the rest in the TD in the garage. (sorry PennyPincher!) loaded dishwasher and washed a few cups, and had a cheese n beans toastie for lunch. Tea will be Tuna Neopolitana. I have been lacking inspiration lately so had a rummage through the packet mixes in Sainsburys, as well as the tuna, I bought a lamb hotpot mix and a beef casserole mix.
Im going to pop round to my moms to do a few jobs for her, swap over her settees, vacuum under rug and turn it round and change her shower curtains as she can no longer manage to do these herself. In the last 6 months she has been struggling with pain in her hip and knee (arthritis) and none of the meds she has tries suit her, so she is stuck with paracetamol. Ive noticed she has stopped going to a lot of her regular haunts, its about 30% incapacitation due to the arthritis and 70% loss of confidence. So I am going to try and help her more, but not do too much or she will end up not going out at all. My nan stopped going out when she was my moms age (74) and my aunties did a lot for her. It only seems like 5 minutes ago, and now my mom is in the same situation, (I was about 12 then and Im 36 now) Its times like this that you realize that your parents are not going to be around for ever, and to make the most of them whilst you still can!
Anyway Im going to open the parcel which has just been delivered, it looks like my DD1's mobile phone for her birthday pressie (bargain on Orange website)
Kiwi - do post back later to let us know how it goes with the MIL.
Johanne - can I borrow you for day/night as my house could do with a going over! lol.

This is probably a silly question but what are paid to click sites and how do I find them?

I take it that you do not mean pigsback as they have stopped daily points.

Afternoon All, I'm back - did you miss me?? :D I've had no internet connection since before Christmas, and am now operating on dial up so will still only be intermittent posting for a wee while longer.

Havent had chance to read everyone's messages yet and do a proper catch up, but finally wanted to share my news with you all...
    I'm having a baby!!!

I'm 16 weeks today, and, having done all the family stuff and telling the extended family over Christmas, just wanted to share with you lovely lot. It's extra special for us as we lost a little girl in 2004 at 16 1/2 weeks pregnant, but they've reassured me that this time all is well (keep your fingers crossed please!!)

Hope you all had a lovely rest and enjoyed the festivities.

    Take Care

    Love
