Morning all.... terrible night, awake until after 4am and had to get up at 6.15 to do an airport run, just got back and had a large mug of coffee and a bacon sarnie.... not a bad run all told, traffic heavy but did not slow us down.
Last week I bought a large reduced quiche from Tesco for £1.25, cut it into 6 portions and froze them,. have just taken 2 portions out to have for supper tonight with jacket spuds and some salad that needs eating up.... waiting for the post, hoping for some cheques for stuff I have sold, will then be off to the bank and the local shopping centre to blag some cardboard boxes to pack said goods in for shipment.
Need to sort out a delicates wash and do some ironing, its bed change weekend so will do that tomorrow, I had just made the bed when I remembered that the sheets need changing ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh uuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggg.
Its our wedding anniversary next month, decided to book a 3 for 2 night break in Paris travelling by eurostar...... plus train travel from our local station. It was cheaper to buy 4 single tickets 2 for the down journey and two return than get returns cost me £42.00 plus eurostar and the hotel with breakfast was £270.00..........ok I could have spnt the cash paying off a little on my 0% CC but after the recent events decided a wee treat was in order.......... after all, all work and no play makes Jill a very dull girl!!!!

I do need to put DW & WM on. The bathroom needs a clean as well.
Need to pop to the shop for unsliced white loaf, a leek & some medised. Will prob do that on the school run now, cannot be bothered to go out till then.

Morning all, is it Friday already? I actually slept most of the night for once, unlike most of the poor posters here!
Have one load of towels in the WM already and another lined up ready. Got to try and hoover up my thick layer of pine needles today and get the room straightened out again, it looks a right mess.
Had coffee and bagel for breakfast, will have HM soup and HM granary roll for lunch and poached salmon with roast veggies for supper. Mmm, feel hungry already now, had better go and make a start on the vacuuming to take my mind off food....
Have a good one, everyone. FF0 -
Johanne, you're inspiring me today!
Tomorrow I have (don't say it too loudly or it might go away!) A WHOLE DAY WITH NO PLANS WHATSOEVER. So I think, inspired by you, I will get myself super-motivated and have a great big tidy-up/chuck-out. Also want to get started on my mammoth project to scan my 850-ish opera and concert programmes, so I can chuck them out as I I don't have space for them. Think I'll start with the ones from 2005 which are still on the shelf - they take up an ENTIRE shelf! The old system was that each January I'd package up the previous year's collection and put it away for storage, but I no longer rent a storage unit and housemate is getting a bit tetchy about me taking up half the loft
So, plan for the weekend goes something like this:
Tonight: check out the remains of the Next sale at a branch near my office (I popped in yesterday just before closing time and they still had a really good selection - could really do with a couple of sweaters and a couple of skirts if there's anything suitable). Go to Lidl for veggies so I can cook up a batch of something in the SC tomorrow. Get home and write my monthly article for the opera website I contribute to - I promised it to my editor 3 days ago. Nothing ambitious for dinner - yummy tuna steaks with ginger, bought reduced from Tesco, with mash & peas I think.
Tomorrow: Put washing in machine. Pop out to shop for newspaper. Start clearout. Put washing in TD (sorry but house has tendency to dampness/condensation so prefer not to use airer). Prepare meal and start it off in the SC. More clearout. Get food out of SC, eat one portion and box up the rest. If satisfied with clearout, start my scanner project!
Sunday: Church. After church, reception/party for golden wedding of churchwarden and his wife. They've asked for no gifts, just contributions to raise funds for a new boiler for the church (must work out how much I can afford to give - would like to be fairly generous). Have a concert ticket for the evening so a few hours to kill before that - it's not really worth going home and I don't want to tempt myself with the Oxford Street sales, so might take the opportunity to go to the cinema. The Barbican, where I'm going in the evening, has a 3pm showing of The Producers and is such a nice civilised place to go to the cinema with no misbehaviour, few small children, no popcorn, and no mobile phone signalOperation Get in Shape

Isn't it typical - yesterday there were about 8 bananas that I'd earmarked for a banana and walnut cake for today......they've vanished......I know I want everyone to eat more fruit...but couldn't they have had apples??? grrrrr
Just made flapjacks (1st time i've made them - they're far too sweet for me) and a pear sponge pudding in the microwave for tea. It looks lovely, will warm it through tonight and serve with custard or cream to those who want it....how impressed will MIL be...(probably not very but I tried)
Just shoved a load of towels in to wash - will use the TD for them as they come up so fluffy and the bathrooms had a quick whizz round with some vinegar solution...off to do my "paid to clicks" and see what freebies are about then dig out the sewing box and do a bit of mending....funny how you think there's not much to do and then remember 15million things."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. Hi Folks,
ease up Johanne your wearing me out with all that rushing about.Well done Rzl I bet your pleased.
My SC is on with chicken legs and veggies so I can forget about worrying about dinner tonight.
I'm de-cluttering my tiny computer room .It's way overdue as it's full of junk. I am going to be ruthless If I haven't used it, or read it, in the last year it's going in a big black bin-bag.
Guaranteed I will bin something and then want it next week.I also have to get some coursework done as I'm back to college next week. Haven't opened a book in three weeks, (smacks hand smartly)
Have a good day everyone tomorrow is POETS day.0 -

Hiya everyone
Was up fairly early as had to take DS2 to speech therapy and had to take DS1 and next door's 13yo with me. Then went to Mothercare and let DS2 choose a padded baby toilet seat and some Thomas the Tank Engine undies (his bribe for potty training, which he seems to want to do now) Had to buy DS1 some reduced price cycling gloves as his 'treat' then popped into Asda for milk and bananas. Am now at home and the boys have constructed some amazing ramps on the stairs rom which they are launching their RC carsThis includes getting them to jump through the new toilet seat :rotfl:
DS2 is a pre-school this afternoon, so in a minute I shall be feeding the tribe - beans on toast or similar. I shall be having some HM veg soup and a roll. Haven't got anything out for tea but may be spag bol or chilli.
Tonight I have a mammoth pile of ironing to do for which I shall park myself in front of Judge John Deed (How is that man still so sexy?) Other than that, I will just get on and do what I can/feel like, around the assorted games the boys are making up
Catch ya later

Not a good start to the day over slept and did not get up until 10.15 oops. I blame husband as he keeps having coughing fits in the night due to his recently acquired ashtma.
Well had a good post today £29ish cheque from one of click for cash sites :j means I am solvent for another few weeks. Even got the money off my brother yesterday for buying our mums christmas presents as he had no idea what to get her. What about me. I struggle too. But I owe him £3 as I did not have enough change on me.
Have emptied a bin and put the washing up away. Aired all the rooms. Lunch is boring for me tuna sandwich but husband gets Bacon, Egg and beans. Tea will be salmon fillets with a sauce (packet on bought really cheap.I know I must learn)with Jacket pots and salad. (Lettuce and cucumber both bought for 15p at tescos at closing time. :j )
This afternoon will be spent hunting down cheap and free items from the boots time delay range. And husband looking for another job. As it seems his asthma is worked related as over christmas week he was a lot better. We are both very gutted as he works only 5 mins from home so he can walk and come home for lunch everyday. So at least I get to see a face and talk to someone in the middle of the day. And he really likes it there and the people are nice. But his health is worth more than a job. Lets hope he get another one really close as well.
Also need to pop to the library. Not sure if we will walk in or be naughty and take the car.
Yours
CalleyHope for everything and expect nothing!!!
