just following on from my previous post! my dh said that his work have told them woolies will be closing on xmas eve some possibly over the next week or two (assume these will be the smaller stores)

No reductions in my local store but my oh did overhear a poor member of staff getting a telling off and that staff were not allowed to put anything aside for themselves before Wednesday & 30%off , may just be Dundee store though.

Unfortunately ordered Yamaha keyboard from there website on 8th November, said it would be delivered on 2nd December.
Had email on 15th confirming despatch, queryed them on Monday and they said it was in transit.
Assuming i never see it, wonder if the shop will refund the £88 ??

Typical i have ordered from some dubious websites in the past and all was well, never thought i would have a problem with woolies!!

It was a staff extra discount day yesterday.

Does anyone know if they'll extend the 10-20% discount past Sunday?? There's loads of stuff I've seen in store today but I don't have any money 'til Tuesday - typical.

So next target is Wednesday. I've bought everything I really want from our local, but there are bits and peices I was thinking about.

mine now seems to have filled shelves with out of season stock to stop it looking empty , spring bulbs and gardening stuff that does not normally appear until after the Jan sales. They did seem to have a fresh stock of
Guitar hero for the Wii and some other Wii games , although again that may have been stockroom stuff

no automatic discounts at the till like the other day though

My husband said there was a petition on the counter in Woolies today saying 'We have been around for 99 years please help us make it to 100'.
