The application form linked to above shows direct one year fixed rate bond (issue nine) - is that the correct one paying 6%?
Yes, you should get it. And yes it is 1 year Issue 9 paying 6%0 -
Hasn't the account been pulled?
Yes, but you can still download the forms. See post above #8 with pdf links“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
PS! I 'phoned Kent today, 19.Nov, and if you have the form you can still open the account as long as it is in by 27 Nov.
Monthly interest is 5.8%, yearly 6. My question above still stands - any advice out there???????????0 -

No, you're absolutely right in that it has been pulled and they have severed the links to the forms on the site, but the pdf url is still working for the moment. I expect they will remove them completely once they realise people are still printing them off“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
What was the rate on the 2 year bond again?
The best alternative I have found is 5.6% gross for a 1 year Bond with Birmingham Midshires.
Fed up with searching now -
what's the best 2yr fixed anyone can find ?!Keentosave

I got an email back from Kent this morning, as I enquired whether the application I sent off yesterday would still be valid. They confirmed they are accepting applications until 28th November.0

They were both 6% if you want interest paid annually. Slightly less for monthly but can't remember exact figure.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
