    Thanks

It also states that you can only withdraw cash with the 100 day interest penalty in exceptional circumstances, anyone have an idea of what these are?

    Death?

Not sure to be honest, maybe best to give them a call and ask.

    Not at 7.35pm they're not.

Both one and to-year bonds shown as sold out.
  • Here are the 1 & 2 Year application forms - just click or copy/paste links in browser to download:

  • I've printed off the forms for the 2 yr fixed rate account and wondered if anyone can tell me how soon they deposit the cheque after posting it off to them?

I need to transfer funds to cover it from Egg to Nationwide which can take up to 3 working days so should I do that first then post the application in a couple of days or take a chance that they will be inundated and possibly take several days to open the account?

Who knows, my Icesave money might even have turned up by then :rotfl:

well I've sent off my cheque for £26,000 today and only transferred the amount from B&B yesterday, I hope to god the funds are in my current account before the cheque is presented, eeek!

I spoke to them earlier and they are anticipating a mad rush of applications so reckon it could take them a few days to process. I also posted mine tonight in the hope that the cheque won't be banked until at least Wednesday of next week ;)

looks like we're both in the same boat then... let's hope it doesn't sink
  • You can definately have more than one bond, as I telephoned them this morning to ask that very question.

I sent a cheque off today for one bond and will be sending a second one, as soon as my premium bond money is repaid :D

I just called and apparently you can withdraw for any personal reason ie buying a house, which is great.

I don't expect to be pulling the money out, as I will be keeping a lot in a variable account as well...but just for re-assurance :D

I am about to apply for the Kent bond.
Help! Is it better to go for the yearly interest and risk going over the 50K limit, or monthly for less interest and then put that interest into another account.
I would be grateful for any opinion!
  • Even though this bond is showing as closed on their web site - if I send off a completed application form before the 28th will I get it?

The application form linked to above shows direct one year fixed rate bond (issue nine) - is that the correct one paying 6%?
