  • Am I allowed to say - I don't get the hype around the M+S 1 day 20% off everything sale? Apparently all stores have been manic all day, I had a look on line and just thought - so? It's stuff - either identical or very similar - that can be got cheaper somewhere else?

hides under a big shield waiting to be hit with M+S rocks.......(with 20% off of course.........)

I have to say that I agree with you BB, M & S is a shop that I rarely go into as I also find the stuff is very pricey.

I got a lovely dress from there last year but it was 50% off in the sale and we also have a factory seconds shop near us where the stuff is really cheap.

The groceries are really expensive too they bloomin take your eyes out and come back for the sockets even with 20% off!

I have been a frugal homosexual this year - all those rent boys were costing me a fortune.

You should buy, renting is just throwing money away... ;)

yes, I am enjoying it, particularly the cookery classes. I've decided I prefer doing a longer course rather than 1 off courses as I'm getting to know the group and it's really nice. The only downside (on the night cookery ones) is that I finish at 9, get away at 9.10, home for 9.30, then shower, wash and dry hair as I stink of the food (8 people all doing curry  for example!) and it's 10 by the time I get to eat.

Can you not cook it in class? Or a slow cooker which you can leave warming away to itself when you're out?
