yes, I am enjoying it, particularly the cookery classes. I've decided I prefer doing a longer course rather than 1 off courses as I'm getting to know the group and it's really nice. The only downside (on the night cookery ones) is that I finish at 9, get away at 9.10, home for 9.30, then shower, wash and dry hair as I stink of the food (8 people all doing curry  for example!) and it's 10 by the time I get to eat.

Not sure saying I'd do a Monday and a Tuesday night next term was wise as it means doing it twice a week but hey ho.

It has got into a nice rhythm with a bit of admin - doing methods and equipment lists for the following weeks handouts.

I have a 4 hour course on presentation skills to do next month as well which needs preparing. I might be a bit apprehensive about that as it's new, but the telephone technique one I did on Monday went well so hopefully that will do as well.

:j Glad its working out for you. :j

My Mum used to teach machine knitting and patchwork and she was always really late home too. But she had time to recover as she wasn't squeezing in another job abd AQA and all the other things you do as well!

  • My Mum used to do tonnes of machine knitting - for us as kids but she also used to work from home doing jumpers for people, which had to be really 'perfect' - any mistakes and she didn't get paid. I can still hear the sound of the machine whizzing up and down in the bedroom for hours on end now!

Yep, there was yarn and books and jumper boards everywhere. Plus she held 1-2-1 classes either at home or at the other person's house. She had to give up for health reasons but I think she really misses doing it. She moved onto patchwork as a new challenge which wasn't quite so physical;)
