I love my GHD's, but I'm addicted to them, which is not good for my hair! Lots of breakages, my hairdresser tries to convince me to only straighten my hair once or twice a week, but I just can't do it :eek:0

Aw Maz, the poor bloke must be gutted that his surprise went pear shaped.
I love my GHD IVs (Xmas prezzie from Hubbles last year) especially as Hubbles volunteers to use them for me;) . Defnitely a good investment if you're considering a purchase in the future...
It is quiet. I'm sitting wondering if I could persuade Bean to come early after seeing that picture of Lily:p26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Aww, not long to go Luc!
I've only ever used straighteners once, my hair is pretty much as straight as it gets so they didn't do much! Did like the hot air brush thing that my mum's got though, when I borrowed that, am thinking of investing in one of them out of Christmas money/ vouchers.
Ooh.. I'm on holiday in 2 and a half hours!

well he has spoken to the bloke and he is sending another pair... i'm going to go onto GHD online and check the serial number as it can verify if they are real.... bloke says he has sold loads of them and no problems..... i'm not convinced....
i'll see what the next set seem like and maybe enquire at a hairdresser so i can handle a real pair for comparisons sake.... i did say to Big G that as much as i didn't want to appear ungrateful, that i really didn't want fake ones.... i'd stick with my cheapie andrew collinge ones that are doing alright, it's not as though i have curly locks!
Enjoy your hols squizz!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

That's not just a straightener, that's a curlier and a wavier then
Unfortunately my hair doesn't hold curls for more than about an hour without being hairsprayed solid!

I used to have a similar problem but the curls from my GHDs last much better than from traditional tongs or rollers (and without being gluedin place:p ) and when they do start to drop out they look quite funky - kind of surfer chick Hubbles reckons so you might want to give it a shot if you particularly fancy curls;)
Am I right in thining you're going to be enjoying mulled wine etc while wandering around a Xmas market for your hols?26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Yes you must young lady!
My daughter has used her straighteners every day for years....unlike every one else in the family (we all have dead straight hair) she has really curly hair:eek: . Don't know where she gets it from.....As long as you protect your hair its fine.
She even straightens Chloe's hair...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
