What is the significance of the bar code on the form? Is each form unique with its own bar code or is this just a generic bar code for that form?
If each claimant has their own personal bar code number, then sending in blanked out forms is just going to screw up the system and delay things.
Has anybody seen more than one of these forms to compare?
Having looked at the form from the one stored I can't understand why it is needed. They already know my account numbers, how much is in them (better than I do!), where I live and that I want them to go to maturity. What else is missing?
Just checked wife's form against mine. The barcodes are different. The forms have (also different) serial Nos to the right of the barcode. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
Got my form today. Maturing Jun 09 (the bond, that is).0

Does anyone know if thestaff at FSCS are working between Christmas and New Year? IT may make a difference as to whether to return the form before or after the Christmas rush.0

Just sealed the envelope and wondering the same thing.
Noticed that the envelope is prepaid 1st class.
Having heard an executive of Royal mail on radio 4 promising 24hr delivery this morning, I think I may as well post it and let them get on with it on Monday, should have the cheque by Christmas eve, ho ho ho.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
We have two jointly held fixed term accounts, and two forms arrived today, addressed to each of us.individually. Since the form has spaces for joint applicants to provide their personal details, to list all the accounts held and provide their respective signatures, we're a little confused as to why we each need to complete a form. However, we'll send them both off with identical information, and who knows, maybe they will refund us twice when the time comes! :rotfl:0

I've just read on another forum that there is some doubt whether part D of the form should be signed if you don't want the cheque sent to different address. Anyone got any opinions/guidance? I am prepared to steam the envelope open if neccessary.(I signed it)This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Happy New Year everyone. It's all gone a bit quiet here - has anyone had a claim paid yet? I have a deposit maturing on the 10th Jan.0

Did you post it to the Warehouse 3 address on the pre-paid envelope recorded?
Worth pointing out that the pre-paid reply envelope for postal forms, according to Royal Mail, the "Warehouse 3, Faverdale Ind. Est., Darlington" address doesn't exist! I assume it isn't really being sent to the FSCS at all, but to a handling office, and according to Royal Mail, the nearest is Capita which are handling it all, found this out, when I tried to post one recorded last week, the address doesn't exist on the Royal Mail database, the closest is Capita... (cue many Private Eye Crapita jokes...)
The post office had to set it up as an unverified address to send it via recorded.0
