I am using it on my face and already my skin looks better (no spots either - I was worried that something so oily might make me break out) and I've been cooking with it and the flavour it fine and I've been taking a teaspoon each morning to help with the 'inner beauty';) (Luckily I find the taste and texture quite acceptable)
I am so glad I found this thread! :T

If you use flaxseed you need to grind them up
I don't think you need to grind them for "pass-thru" purposes. I do grind mine for nutritional purposes.

I also only recommend the prunes with whole cereals for bulk. "Fruit and veg" don't cut it.

(Just posting that so that I don't leave mis-info here thru being unclear.)

I'm very interested in this oil! I had read quite a lot about it before in the past, but suffering with eczema, you tend to read a lot of stuff!

I will give this a try. Emu oil helped a bit, but I still have scaly patches in areas which are an eyesore!!

Best of luck everyone, looks like lots are having great results with this :)

  • Hi I've been reading this thread and its really interesting the results people are having.

I just wondered what the benefits of taking it orally are? Obvioulsy the external application seems to be having great benefits but I'm not sure whether I should try orally too.

    Thanks

Good question!! I will have a look when I get home from work and let you know. All I remember was that it was approx £7 for 450grs and was virgin. I'd been into H&B first and theirs was nearly £10:eek:

Yes, I know about H&B!! Their CO is £9.99 a tub - and I'm not sure that you can eat it.

Since I started to read this thread, I've been making a few enquiries and an african friend at work is going to check out the asian/caribbean grocers in her part of London this weekend. I'll report back if she finds any bargains :p

I've ordered some from an ebay seller who has fantastic feedback, so fingers crossed! :)

After my initial use of it as a facial moisturiser when it was really oily I've now found that the oil 'soaks' in faster and has stopped that weird look when it all just sat on my skin and took ages to disappear.

Having it in a small cup of tea twice a day is still how I ingest it - not my favourite thing to do as I find the texture yeurgh but the benefits brilliant!
