Coconut oil is great!

Beenie, you are more likely to find it in a health food store. I would recommend the Meridian organic virgin coconut oil, it is in jar and costs about £5. Holland and Barrat do a big tub for about £9 but I don't think it is the virgin pressing of the oil which is what you really want.
On line I buy from coconoil.co.uk and get 6 big tubs for £46 but this was after trying it first with the little jar.
Hope that helps0 -
I was in H&B earlier today buying my Aloe Vera juice - wish I'd known about the coconut oil then!0

An opinion from page 1.
I bought one jar of the mail order stuff and just received my next 6 jars. Can't abide the taste so am taking my 3 spoonfuls disguised in hot drinks but the effect is so good that it's well worth perservering with!0 -
Bought mine in a local health shop, anything that has so many people singing its praises deserves a try! I'm interested to see how much (if any) it makes to my skin (especially the wrinkles;)) and I shall certainly be cooking with it too. :T0

Gers - is the biona one from online? Have you tried any othersif so, which is the best for flavour?0

I've only bought from http://www.coconoil.co.uk/ so can't judge. I disguise the flavour with tea or in cooking so not the best person to ask, but it definitely works for me.0 -
Without going into too much detail, I've just finished chemotherapy and one of the side effects (for me, not everybody by any means) was the constipation caused by the very harsh drugs. I don't care about facial wrinkles but am hoping for good results at t'other end!0

constipation
If the coconut oil doesn't work, or if like some you find it unpalatable, I find that 3-4 prunes (more if necessary, 3-4 is my "maintenance" dose) chopped into a bowl of muesli every morning really helps. I usually buy Holland & Barrett Californian pitted, I stock up when they're on offer, but I see that Sainsbury's are now doing "ready to eat" in 500g packs rather than the mean 250g only.
H&B are BOGOF at the mo:

You might like to order some flax seeds (linseed) at the same time, chuck them in too.
veronarona0 -
I eat lots of friut and veg veronarona; also tried flaxseed and liquorice as natural agents, neither really worked. I think I'm needing some fat in my diet but obviously want to be careful about the 'bad' ones - that's why I'm interested in giving coconut oil a try.0

I think you will find the coconut oil will sort out your problems t'other end, you may need to take it for a few days to get it all 'working'.
If you use flaxseed you need to grind them up and make sure you drink your 2L water every day. One of the oldest cures for constipation is to drink 10 glasses of water a day!
Biona was the oil I got the first time not Meridian and I definitely think the Biona tastes nicer than the coconoil one but whereas you can get a good price on the coconoil by bulk buying online, Biona don't seem to do the same bulk buying, so I think it would be rather pricey.0
