ha ha - yes he does, but he's married - and you defo wouldn't want the younger one - great guy, but my god is he stubborn!! If you could handle never having an opinion on anything ever again - then he could just be the catch for you! ;)

Good news that you managed it the MSE way - although I wouldn't expect anything less from such a pro! :p

yeah I suppose I should let him treat me now and again, just makes me feel as though I need to buy him a big pressie in return!!

Well worth a try!! Oh god no an opinanted man, we'd end up argueing in 30 secs flat........

Being as oh treating u for Valentine, have u got to treat him for bday!!x

  • Yeah treating him for his birthday is a good idea! I'm kinda planning on getting him a Sat Nav, but suppose I could maybe book a wee overnight away or something!! Smart thinking mum2one! ;)

We've agreed that he's paying for the show and the hotel, and I'll get the dinner - but since we've got quite a good deal (2 courses for £15 in a posh restaurant) - that shouldn't be too expensive! So I'll get him a wee pressie as well!!

    xx
  • Well hello my lovelies - how is everyone today? (Just in case there are any lurkers out there having a read! ;) )

    How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was pretty good, and I managed it all on a grand total of £30! :T Went to the cinema on Friday with my mum, to see slumdog millionaire - fabby-doo film!! Plus, used one of my pre-paid tickets up, so only spent a grand total of £2 on a drink (stupidly forgot to take one with me!! ).

Went out for dinner with boyf on Saturday, thought I was being very MSE, having used some of my Tesco points to get vouchers for his fav restaurant (£20 worth), but we still had to put £20 each to it! It was worth it though, we had a really nice night! Downside - I lost my phone!! Boo!!! I think I left it in the back of the taxi! They've sent me a new Sim, which I'll just stick in my works phone until I've money to be buying a new one!!

Upshot, I still have £213.26 to see me through the month - and I'm procrastinating like a crazy person not to spend it!! But we'll see how long I can keep that up for! ;)

    xx
  • Hiya, i know its a few posts back but i too used to use clinique till i needed to cut back and am now using simple, really good on price and havent really noticed much difference. Using the light moisturiser and its just like cliniques!

Congrats on the second job and getting into uni!!!! How have you managed to get so much from quidco?? think i may need to do more on there........
    December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

    Weight loss: 1.5lbs
  • Hi Rags,

Thanks for stopping by! :D Thanks for the tip on the Simple stuff as well, I think they do a travel kit thing where you get wee miniatures of everything, so I might just give that a go and see how I get on! :D

As for the Quidco, it was literally just the one transaction Alliance & Leicester were paying £50 for new customers who opened new current accounts - in fact, I just checked and they still are!! Fill out the form, open and account, wait to get paid (which took about 6 weeks all in for me!), then close it again! That's if you're not already a customer anyway! ;)

When you do the Alliance + Leicester, dont forget to check if the £20 savings account is still on there, its the one that can only be opened if you take the premier account, this account is worth £20, same principle as the normal Alliance + Leicester offer. x

  • Thanks mum2one - I don't think the savings one is still there - at least I couldn't find it if it is? I did actually originally apply for the savings account, but like the dough-nut I am - I put in the wrong current account details! :o I was in a rage over Christmas (well, mildly irritated at any rate!), because I'd got an e-mail through to say they'd rejected my application for the savings account, but I didn't get an explanation through 'til the new year because of the Crimbo post! :D
