annie is a girl after my own heart. I wonder if she'd like to come round to mine and do a batch cook of hobnobs for my freezer too while she's in the mood. Her enthusiasm would put the England team to shame. Fabio is obviously feeding his guys the wrong type of stuff :rotfl:(Don't ask me how I know all this football stuff. I'm shut away in the bedroom with my stock of library books while the World Cup matches are on TV and my OH is downstairs raging expletives at his team's performance).

Ladies please, no squabbling, put that energy in making twinks.
If not for yourselves, then for your country.

I coated some of the choc chip ones in MrS basic chocolate this morning and can confirm, after several tastings, that they are delicious:D

free twinks to anyone who can get here before we finish them off today, just had a count up and only 63 left:o
DS asked me to save him some, said he'd pick them up tomorrow.
    No chance:rotfl:

Made hobknobs, added 2oz of coconut, just because I had bought it, and they are lovely.

ginny Is that instead of some of the oats, or as well as, pretty please?

Yes its instead of the oats, just 2oz of coconut as a trial but I think you could adapt it more. I think its just a magical recipe that you can add almost anything to.

p.s. am off to the shops to look for chocolate and other necessities to add to them. Oh yes and food for the week

I wouldn't bother getting the shopping. I went to Asda this morning - been living out of the freezer for two weeks - and couldn't believe how much things had gone up. Well the things I wanted to buy anyway. Plenty of offers on things I didn't want. Told DH I'm never shopping again as it is too expensive.

Mardatha - Remind me not to jump the queue in front of you in the next revolution when we're all queuing for oranges, bananas, sugar or loo rolls - whatever the next shortage is. Perhaps after the next week's budget all the queues will be at the ATM machines trying to draw our money out while there's still some left before the Chancellor grabs it all :rotfl:
