Sorry to quote myself but was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this? Thanks

With the exception of double points vouchers, which you can usually use twice, they generally take vouchers off you when use them.

Wouldn't it be lovely if they didn't?

Following on from the adorable lady that posted about the £8 gift set thing.
I got 2 x Wilkinson Sword Razors @ £7.99 each and a box of posh chocolates for my chum @ £10.00. Didn't have a clue how much it would come to, but thought I would try my luck, like you do on a Saturday morning.

It came up on receipt like this:

    Belgian Choc 10.00
    W/S Razor 7.99
    W/S Razor 7.99 NOW 0.00 (Saving 7.99) *** (3 4 2)

Then it took off 2 x £4.00 cos Razor is half price.

So technically speaking, I got posh chocs and 2 x razors and just paid for posh chocs. I thought it was a bargain and then some. My chum is gonna get a Razor too. Woohoo.

    Hi, everyone,

I need some help. My mom's doctor has told her to stop dying her hair  as a precaution against illnesses and stop using shampoos and toiletries that have parabens, petrochemicals and sulfates.

I know there is the NAKED range at Boots, and I have used them... However I was not really convinced by it: I got a shampoo (ok) and hand cream (I am half way through the bottle and it still smells intensely of honey, which I hate. I do find it is too thin for my taste.). So I guess I miss the "nasty stuff", but off course if they are bad for me, I might learn to do without.

Still, I am looking for alternatives, especially since NAKED is not on any kind of offer at the moment, and I would like to fill my suitcase with a few goodies for when I go back home (Friday).

    Any tips? TIA

    Hey hun :)

I know .com stocks REN products which are chemical free...they don't contain any parabens or sulfates :) you can read about REN here http://www.renskincare.com/article-5-principles-of-REN-principles.htm

And here's a link to the products they do on .com
    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?storeId=10052&catalogId=11051&langId=-1&pageSize=12&beginIndex=0&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&searchTerm=REN

Boots only seem to do a couple and they are pricy, but on the REN website there is the full range, including shampoos/conditioners/bath and body too :)

    HTH

ETA: and if you wanted to just try their products, they do a nice mini set for £15 containing:

50ml Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash
50ml Damask Rose Biosaccharide Body Cream
50ml Neroli and Grapefruit Zest Body Wash
50ml Grapeseed, Shea Butter and Jojoba Body Cream

    If anyone else lives close?

Today I have been to Broughton & Chester (Main Store).

In Broughton they have a few of the botanics £2 sets and a few of the Soap & glory £5 sets they were on the shelves with normal bathing Soap & glory stuff - make sure you look carefully as they have some on both opposite shelves IYKWIM! I nearly missed them!! :D

In Chester they only have the Botanics set I did ask but they said they didn't have any soap & glory ones?

Also if any of you lovely people left one of the till slips nicely arranged in the gift set section I found it & though oooh I'l have that and then lost it on my way round - Damn!! so hopefully someone else will find it LOL!! ;)

Also to answer my own question from before!! you DO get the No7 GWP when you spend over £20 on the half price No7 electricals. :j
  • Placed 2 orders last Thurs and Delivery was quoted for Wed 26th, however one arrived on saturday and the other today, so was happy.

Have to say box 2nd order came in was massive for the amount of stuff in it, also had a freebie I was not expecting Hackett post shave balm, wondered if they sometimes randomly send a freebie, or is it more likely a packing mistake. Oh well have passed onto other half as shaving rash not a big problem for me (thank goodness).

Also placed 3rd order a day later, had order accepted but no dispatched notice as yet, this happened very quickly with other 2 orders, it is listed under my orders online as being processed, should i worry ? or was i just super lucky with the earlier orders processing so quickly.

Really hope 3rd order okay as this one contains my treat of an elle bag, would be just my luck that this one goes awry !

Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:

I would not be at all surprised if Boots started the 50% off sale before Christmas. Trading figures are so bad in the High Street that lots of the big retailers are having extra discount days and Boots themselves are having all these additional Points weekends as well as the Christmas shopping nights. They didn't do these extra weekends last year. And the reports are that the stock rooms are still stuffed with gift items. There's not a lot of difference for Boots between selling the gift items at 50% off and 3-4-2, especially with the extra points chucked in. Like all retailers they need cash in the till, not piles of stock sitting there. If it gets to a certain point in December where their trading targets are not even meeting the minimum requirements you'll see the sales signs going up, belive me.
So basically - to trigger a pre-Xmas Boots Sale, we need to return as much stock as possible in the next couple of weeks and not buy anything!

This will cause panic and then we'll have a nice early sale! (Yes - that applies to you boots.com addicts too.)

Have to say, a manic pre-Xmas Boots sale, coupled with all the hassle of normal pre-Xmas shopping, will be a challenge even to professional Bootsers. ;)

I can never decide if I like this or not - it's much nicer after a couple of hours on my skin!

I've been looking for an EDT to buy my son, he usually wears the original Boss. Is this similar? It seems a very good price
The original Boss is a fresher fragrance - Soul is a richer, creamier fragrance to my nose.

I decided I do like it after all and got some the other day.

If he likes Boss, Trudi, I'd go for it. :)
