Perhaps you could have a word with Martin and your family, and write a book about your debt free journey. Your thread has been one of the most inspiratinal on here, and the effect of all the good and bad times on your financial goals?
I think that it could make a good read.Debt £5600 all 0%0 -

I might think about doing this one day when I am debt free. I have often thought about writing something to do with my illness and this was before everything that has happened this year.
For someone who's only 25, I have lead a rather eventful life but not always for the better unfortunately, I have definitely got enough to fill a book!!!0 -

Hi I have just come across this thread and read it from start to finish! Couldn't go to bed until I checked how things were going for you. You really are inspirational in the way you deal with life and the things it throws at you, you have really put things into perspective for me and I actually feel ashamed now for feeling sorry for myself.
I wish you all the success in the world0 -
Hi everyone
Not been around again over the past week. I injured my foot on Monday and have broken 2 toes!!! It was incredibly painful (wimp that I am!!) and is still causing me problems now.
Those are the first bones I have ever broken. Can this year get any worse?? Can't wait for 2007!!
Anyway, on a brighter note, I have won a mobile phone. Not too sure what it is yet but I will receive it shortly, it's a pay as you go phone from Orange. I will sell this and put it towards my overdraft.
I will update on my overdraft a bit more tomorrow. I am going to be selling some more stuff on Ebay tomorrow so will be putting this money towards it.
I've got some items that I'm not too sure whether I should sell them or not. I've got some Simpson's DVD boxsets (7 series worth) which I would get around £100 for on Ebay. I love the Simpsons so these are really nice sets to have, however I need the money and am running out of things to sell. I don't get much time to watch them so I thought about selling them and then replacing them when I am debt free.
I have also got some crystals that I could sell and get over £200 for. I collect Swarovski and have already sold quite a few of them on Ebay. I've got one which is worth around £70 but I do love it. I got it in New York (pre LB moment!), as with the DVDs, I could get another when I have cleared my debts. I've also got some others which I could sell, the problem is that most of them were bought for me as presents. There are a couple that I just couldn't part with (a snowman that my dad bought me last Christmas and a kitten that my sister bought me when I was her bridemaid).
What do you all think, should I get shot of these items so that I can clear my debt more quickly? I would never get rid of something that I know I would deeply regret but then again most of them were gifts.

only you know whether you can bear to part with them!
Like you said, the DVD's could be replaced easily......but the crystals....what if they discontinued them! I wouldn't get rid unless you are REALLY sure! I knw they are only posessions, but if they were gifts then they are more than that........Proud to be dealing with my debts

Hi Emily
hope your foot is soon on the mend & heres to 2007.Hope its a great year.
If I was you (which Im not!!)I would hang on to your crystals.
You really wont get that much for them in the grand scheme of things and they give you pleasure and as you say most of them were gifts. You might not be able to replace them when you want to.
