I would like to get married yes, I think it would be a long engagement though (well a couple of years at least) so that we could both clear as much debt as possible in that time.
We shall wait and see
On a completely different topic.....I was 'doing' my legs the other day with the Veet bladeless rasor kit. I have used this for ages and it has never affected me. However, on Friday night, it burnt one of my legs!!! I didn't leave it on too long and my other leg was fine (I actually time myself with these things).
It was ok until I took the stuff off and my leg felt really hot and started coming up in all these little lumps!! It was really painful and was still the red raw the next day. It doesn't hurt now but I have still got some red marks all over my leg and it still feels hot compared to the rest of my leg.
I showed my nurse today as I had my flu jab and she didn't think there was anything to worry about. However a work colleague said I should complain to Veet - what do you all think? There are still marks on my leg that I could take a picture of to send to them. Do you reckon I would get any joy?

I would definitely complain, especially if there are visible marks on your legs, you used it for the right amount of time, and you have never had a reaction before. The batch might have been too strong, and the only way they will find out is if people do complain. The way I would look at it is that really you are doing them a favour, because otherwise if their quality control has failed somehow, someone could end up severely injured, and then they would get sued for thousands. I think the pain you have been caused is worth at least a refund and a bit of goodwill compensation! Hope you're recovering xx"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Woohoo - got another prize that I can use for my Christmas Present challenge!!
I've won a Diamonique necklace from QVC and The Sun. I have got no idea what it looks like so I'm going to wait until it arrives and allocate it accordingly. I'm going to rule out my sister immediately as she's a bit fussy with her jewellery. So I could allocate it to either my mum, auntie, gran, older female cousin or one of my 3 friends.
Either way, I have got another one off my list0 -
Hi everyone
My sister had a call today from our local newspaper and they want to do an article on Joshua and the fund that we have set up in his name.
It's going to be such good publicity for us and it might even push us over our target of £5,000!!! It's good timing too as we are trying to organise a local raffle to raise money. We are going to contact Portsmouth FC and see if they will donate a signed shirt or something for the star prize and then we were going to write to different companies asking for something that we can add as another prize.
At least if we are in the paper, then we could ask local companies to contact us if they could donate something.
They are coming to speak to us about it on Monday evening. How exciting!! :j :j0 -

I find this with Veet too, weird thing is it's not consistent, one time it's fine, the next it's agony! Switch to the sensitive Veet, it's much kinder on your skin and still as effective!0 -
Hi Emily
How did the newspaper thing go? Here's hoping it gives a big boost to Joshua's Star Fund. Have you won anything else towards christmas presents?
Well, I've decided I need a kick up the pants (to be polite) with regards to debt reduction. It's sort of stopped and is in danger of slipping backwards, especially with christmas round the corner
Oh, inspiration, please strike soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Write to your local Tesco, (not sure about Tesco Express - go in and ask, you've nothing to loose) they have often supported our school/nursery raffle. They tend to have a budget so depends whether they have used it all yet (so contact all your local big ones) but we have often been given £10 voucher which you can either use as is or spend in store on wine or chocolates or anything else
Wilkinsons have been helpful but I think I had to write to head office. Sainsburys haven't helped in the past, but still worth writing to.
Maybe you'll get enough from different shops to make up an Xmas hamper.
What about ELC, Mothercare - seems sort of relavant.
Cadbuys were a no go - which is a shame.
Good Luck with the raffle.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
Hi Em,
Worth asking Blue Reef - they gave me a free family ticket for a charity thing I organised, plus dockyard & things like that - I found that places will often give free entry because it's not actually costing them anything and people will probably spend some money on refreshments etc!
I'm a Pompey girl too, so let me know if you want a hand with selling raffle tickets
