I have to agree with beanielou. Keep the crystals cos what you get for them won't be anywhere near what they're worth to you both financially and sentimentally. It's great that you're dealing with your debts but don't forgo actually taking time to enjoy what's around you, like your crystals. The dvd's can be replaced but the crystals may very well be discontinued when you're in a position to buy them again.

    Hi Emiliy,

Poor you hurting your foot! Don't sell the crystals, you have sold all that you are willing to part with. As for the DVDs, if you will watch them then keep them, if not then sell them. Be honest with yourself.

When it comes to presents, I think it's really awkward to sell things without causing offence, so I would be extremely weary of that. Put your faith in the fact that you often win lots of things tht can te be sold on, and if matters should change you may be able to sell these later.

You are innovative enough to find an alternative.

  • Sorry to hear about your foot, may you soon be in a position to put your best foot forward again::rotfl: (sorry, couldn't resist)

I agree with the others, unless you really don't want them, you will regret selling your crystal. I suggest you keep them prominently displayed as a reminder - when you are debt free, you will be able to add to your collection. Maybe you could choose one that you are going to get once you've achieved your goals.

I've got a swarovski brooch that I won several years ago. I do quite like it (its heart shaped) but hardly ever have the opportunity to wear it - how do I find out what it is worth. I did a bit of research when I got it but couldn't find it anywhere.

well done on your progress. Sorry to hear about your foot, you take them so for granted don't you. Don't sell your crystal, they do quite often discontinue them, and they do increase in value over time

Hello everyone - my foot is now on the mend but I've come down with a stomach bug today :rotfl: - if I don't laugh then I'll cry!!!!!

I have refrained from selling my crystals so far. I have sold the phone that I won for £40 (it wasn't a top of the range one but I'm not complaining :D ) and I have also won some software that I can sell which is supposed to be worth £90 but I haven't received it yet.

My overdraft currently stands at £2,799.18 so I haven't managed to clear an awful lot of it yet. I've got 78 days left to clear this now.

Thank you for all of your kind messages about my foot :A

    Hi Emily

Hope your foot (and your belly) are on the mend? :o

How are you doing with the overdraft clearing and everything else you're doing? And have you won any more prizes?? Lots of questions, I know.

    Sorry ;) :T :T :T :T :T :T:xmastree:

Not been around much recently due to working hard on AQA and then my laptop charger decided to give up so was without my laptop for a while

I haven't cleared anymore from the overdraft, mainly due to Christmas and other things (had to get my prescription card renewed). I will be clearing the majority of it during January and February next year when I have got some spare money to throw at it.

Not won anything else major, I've won a couple of CDs and DVDs since I last posted but nothing exciting (although I am grateful for every prize I receive :o )

I'm just so pleased that there is only 1 month left of this year - can't wait for 2007 :j :j :j . I've got a lot of hospital appointments coming up so I'm going to be extra tired until the end of the year. I've got to have my annual MOT which means I will be prodded and poked like there's no tomorrow!!! :rotfl:

Sounds fun, good luck with that!

Here's the good news, and I know it's in your sig, but in the last 11 months, you have cleared £5888.48 which works out at around £535.32 a month! That is more than i currently earn! Well done so far and I am looking forward to seeing what you do in the new year.

Hi Emily! Haven't been around as much recently (finally got over the morning sickness enough to go back to work - it's amazing how much going to work impacts on your social life!), so I've only just caught up with your thread.

Sorry to hear you have been unwell, but it's fantastic news about your sister. When is the baby due? I can sympathise with her feeling sick & tired, the first few weeks of pregnancy can be awful, but worth it in the end!

Take care, and best wishes to both you and your sister xxx
