Not sure if this is cheating but it works for me!! I have started to keep a diary of everything income & outgoing so at the end of the month (yesterday!) I can say that for this month I had 44.33 in saved coins (to be banked tomorrow) & made an additional 252.65 on top of my salary (ie ebay, amazon etc)...while not all funds have been received yet it made me feel fab wherin if I had waited until money in my account (due to stupid 25p paypal charge, delayes by amazon etec) I would have felt quite despondent...not sure if that may help you to see how much you are gaining each month? Sorry didnt explain that very well but hope you see what I mean! Big hugs!

I do a similar thing, I have quicken to put all my accounts on which is a really good programme, so I can put down that I will be getting for eg £25 from ebay sales and put the date in when it will get in my bank, so I can see the balance as it will be. Its not too bad when you're on a roll and the money's coming in regularly.

My line is out - yah!!! Thanks to Beanielou for replying to my 'boyfriend' post and reminding me that I haven't posted since last week. My line came out Thursday and it was such a relief!! My arm is still a little bit sore, I can't straighten it fully yet and I've got a lovely war wound where the line was - it will eventually match the scars I have got on my other arm from previous lines!!

My 3rd mystery shopping assignment went well on Friday night, it was a free night out for me and my boyfriend too which we both really need. If you have seen my previous post, I am trying really hard to get him to see the light!! He is like a spendaholic and I do try and deter him from spending when I can but I'm not with him 24/7 and he will waste his money!! Oh well, I guess seeing as he is 6 years older than me he really should be the one looking after me  - and people wonder why after 5 years together we have not thought about marriage :rotfl:

Thank you to fishface-69 for your idea of keeping a record of all my extra cash I am earning. I've got Microsoft Money on my computer so I can try and use this for keeping track. Your little pressie is already filling up nicely by the way, thank you again. :D

I've got another couple of mystery shopping jobs lined up next weekend, they are on Sunday afternoon. I've also got one lined up at a bingo club - I get £20 to play with so who knows, I might make a couple of hundred for one job!! (I get to keep any winnings).

Also hoping to do a carboot next Sunday but judging by the weather here today (we've just had hailstones the size of footballs rain down on us!! Ok, slight exaggeration!!) we might not be able to do it. Here's hoping though, we have got a lot of junk to shift and I'm going to split the money with my mum.

I've got a few items ending on Ebay soon, they're going for just under £100 at the moment so that'll halp towards my debt clearing. Running out of things to sell now though.

That's about it for now, I hope you have all had a good weekend.

    Take care

    Hi Emily,

After seeing your boyf post I wondered how you were getting on -all sounds postive and well done on getting all those jobs & ebay selling etc. Def will help pay off debts - what's your current target this month?

We had huge hailstones last night - bit of a shock!

My target is still my Alliance & Leicester loan which has unfortunately been my target for the past couple of months - events have conspired against me with this one.

I know that all of this extra work I am doing will pay this off but probably not until next month now as I won't see the rewards for my hard graft until the beginning of June. I should be able to clear that and my Barclaycard next month (which has got around £300 on it).

    Good morning

Something strange happened yesterday, I was looking at my Samsung phone which I got free with a new contract, it does everything including looking at Ebay with imode. I just thought, 'I don't need this'. So I have decided to sell it and use my sister's old but servicable Nokia which she has as a spare phone. I'll put it on EBay tomorrow

I also had a PDA for Chistmas from my mum, it's not a really flashy one. I was using it to keep track of my mystery shopping jobs. However last week I thought 'a diary can do just the same job' so I stuck it on Ebay and got nearly £100 for it. Hmm, I wonder if there are some other things I can do the same with. Will be debt free in no time ;)

I've also got another couple of mystery shopping jobs, they seem to be coming in from all angles!! If anyone reading this is not too sure about mystery shopping then just go and do it!! I wish I had done it years ago, it is really easy to do and there are loads of jobs out there.

We've sorted all our stuff for our carboot on Sunday - we have got stacks!! We're going to take 2 cars just to fit it all in. I just hope that the weather is ok but judging by last weekend, we might have to wait.

    Take care and best wishes

I just read the entire thread from start to finish. I just wanted to say that Emily is an inspiration to everyone, she has been through so much this year and she has coped brilliantly and kept upbeat and positive. Even through all this adversity she is continuing with her goal where others would have given up.
I just voted for this one for post of the month, but has the problem been sorted out yet (ie post is meant to be started this month?).

also nobody else has asked this but maybe emily if you posted what your debts are and how much we could take a look and see if theres any way you could juggle them around to save on interest - just a thought.

anyhow emily, I'm really looking forward to seeing how you get on the rest of the year, good luck and keep positive!

nadnad that seems like a good idea. Also I agree that Emily should get post of the month I just don't know how you nominate.

Emily your money making ideas are great, I too am aiming for a carboot on saturday so I look forward to swapping results when we have done them.

    Good luck
