AQA is the Assessment and Qualification Alliance. They set GCSE's and A-levels. (in fact some of mine are awarded by them I think) I think Emily is marking some GCSE's (correct me if i'm wrong) - they take on a small number of people every year with suitable qualifications (a least a degree in the subject i'm told) and they are allowed to mark exams under the supervison of someone who has marked papers before and been a teacher for several years.

I'm still following your thread Emily. Good luck with everything.

I thought it might be the awarding body as well but its probably Any Question Answered http://www.aqa.issuebits.com/vacancies.htm.

    I might be wrong though.

Well done on the mystery shopping jobs Emily. How are you getting on so far this month?

    Hi everyone
I thought it might be the awarding body as well but its probably Any Question Answered http://www.aqa.issuebits.com/vacancies.htm.

AQA is Any Questions Answered. I sent out PMs to people who asked about this as I wasn't sure if I was allowed to mention it here or not. It's going ok - I'm up to £15 so far, it takes a while to answer some questions and then others take a couple of minutes. I'm trying to get as many questions answered as I can before the end of the month so I get the money next month.

I am still trying to get the money to pay off Alliance & Leicester, I'm not sure if I will manage it this month though. I have been working really hard trying to get extra cash. I'm back up to full-time at work now but the money won't show for that until the end of next month. All of the mystery shopping work I have got also won't pay out until next month sometime and my AQA money won't come in until next month so I'll be loaded next month and can probably afford to pay off a couple of debts.

I'm still trying though, have got some items on Ebay that are finishing today. I'm getting some stuff together for a car boot too which I'm going to do 2 weeks today.

I've got no less than 6 mystery shopping jobs lined up over the next couple of weeks. The one I had on Friday was a disaster though. I had to go to a bar in Southampton but what they didn't tell me was that it is a student bar and they wanted some ID from me and my boyfriend proving that we were students!! Therefore I couldn't complete the mystery shop so I won't get paid. Never mind, have got another this Friday at a nightclub where I will be able to get in!! I won't have my line in either so I will probably have a much better night!!

Thank you to everyone for your votes for the post of the month, I do appreciate all of your support and kind messages. It really does mean a lot and it keeps me going when times are hard.

Also thank you to Jmarko for finding out about whether I can win the post of the month or not. We shall wait and see.

    Take care and best wishes.

Just read through your posts. I really feel for you losing your nephew and your dad, with all that you have to cope with as well. I lost my darling dad in February to leukemia, he went in hospital on the 1st Feb when they told us his blood condition had turned to leukemia, they gave him months to live but he died 9 days later on the 10th Feb, aged 73. I miss him so much. Take care. Sue x

    Evening everyone!!

I just wanted to post a quick update. I'm pleased to say that I finally get my line out tomorrow morning. I've got one more lot of drugs to put in and then I'm done (until next time!). I will be so relieved to finally have my arm back, you don't really realise how restricting it is. I'll hopefully be able to take on more mystery shopping jobs when I can drive again too.

I've got another mystery shopping job on Friday night so hopefully this one will go a bit better than the last one!!

I'm up to about £30 in my AQA account. I'm really going to go for it at the weekend though, I need to earn as much as I can for next month.

I'm also putting more of my wordly goods on Ebay. I need to try to get enough money together to clear 2 debts next month. I think this will be possible with all the extra cash I'm going to make.

It's my dad's birthday on Monday so that's going to be a difficult day to get through. I've taken the day off work to support my mum and go to visit my dad's and Joshua's grave.

Thank you once again for all of your messages of support.

    Take care and best wishes

Hope everything goes okay tomorrow and you can enjoy stuff a bit more withtwo arms instead of one. I'm impressed that you seem to have so much stuff to put on ebay. You either have a great deal of surplus items in your home or you are just very ruthless at de-cluttering. Am also pleased to hear that you and your family are a great support for each other, as I know certain landmark dates can be very hard.

    Take Care.

My dad died in 1992.. I will never forget him, still cry over him, I am a girl and still need him loads, but after 2 years it gets easier, after 5 years a lot easier!
Honest you will never ever forget, but the pain is so much easier to bear. I will always love my dad!!! I am crying now, but rightly so!!

I just want you to know that you have to grieve, it hurts, really hurts, but it does really really get better, honest. I still cry, as I say I am now, but it is different!! Chin up pet, the first year is the worst!!

If you want money, try Quidco and things like mobile phones, gambling(I know sounds bad, but we had a bet on the grand national, got £25 each commission, £10 free bet (I bet on M O'Neil to be next Newcastle manager, fingers crossed, but even if I lose it was a free bet!) and won £45+ each (yeah that was lucky!!), but always do those sites which require a minimum deposit less than the commission payable.

I know you have loads and loads of friends on this site, so don't take my word for it, please ask others for recommended sites!! I have £500 so far!!and I do Tesco points too!! Check this out 4X points on various deals inc many holiday companies. I think you should go on holiday!!!!

I haven't read many pages on this thread so I hope I am not speaking out of turn.. Again there are many Tesco addicts on this site who will gladly point you in the right direction!!!!!

Anyway its late and I am tired now. Got to go, but I wish you well and I and 1000's of others are thinking of you!!!!

    Good Luck!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

    Hi Emily

Hows things going? I notice you've had that DVD.co.uk voucher in your sig for a fiarly long time. If it's the free one for signing up for rentals remember they only last 1 month from the date of issue so you might be better of picking a pressie for whoever's birthday is next rather than it sneakily running out on you (i hate it when that happens).

Keep us updated on your progress.

    Hi Emily

I've just read through your posts and it sounds like you're doing so well. With what you've been through this year most people would just throw in the towel with the debt-reducing plans! So major respect for sticking to it, and all the fundraising for the hospital you are doing, that is really inspiring. Your dad would be so proud of you.

I have two cousins with CF (29 & 13) and I know second-hand how tough things can be at times. I'm glad your antibiotics are all finished for now and here's to a really good healthy year.
