I just wanted to say, you are an inspiration. I cheered when you paid off your first debt, and then was in tears about your terrible terrible losses (my sympathies to you and your family). The way that you are battling on reminds me that it it self centered for me to wallow in misery about my debt when others are proactively picking themselves up, dusting themselves down and getting on with things.

Keep it up and I shall follow your thread religiously.

I am sure the team will be aware of that fact when they decide the winner of the award.

Thank you to everyone who has voted for me for the 'Post of the month', however it doesn't look like I will win.

On a good note, I have received another 3 mystery shopping jobs and been accepted to AQA permanently.

    Hi
Firstly let me say how uplifting your comments are and also those of others watching your thread. Secondly can you please let me know who AQA are.I am a struggling mature student who really needs another income, however this income can only be gained from doing work at home in the evening or at weekends (uni, main work and family commitments) I too am trying to become debt free and am doing anything I can to pay off my debts asap.
I look forward to your reply and wish you luck with your quest.

    Hi Jmarko

I am keeping an eye on that post, thank you to everyone who has voted for me so far.

May's a bit of a non starter at the moment, they still haven't sorted my antibiotics out yet so I've got to spend yet another day at the hospital trying other things. It's a bit difficult to do things with one arm too!!

I'm trying to get some more mystery shopping jobs, I've only got one lined up at the moment but again it's difficult as I can't drive so I can only really accept ones at the weekend so that my boyfriend can take me there.

I sold some stuff on Amazon which have all fetched just under £50 so that can go towards my Alliance & Leicester debt. I'm also getting closer to starting with AQA. I've just got to have my induction now.

Other than that, nothing much happening.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind messages and support.

i've asked about whether you can win the post of the month cos it seems pretty unfair if you're getting loads of votes that you couldn't. and so far you've got the most votes! and that's cos we all think you're brilliant. i hope that loads more people vote for you - that way you'll know that you're OUR winner - whatever happens!

    :j: Go Emily!!! :j:

As this has provoked some controversy, I thought I'd try to find out whether Emily could, in fact, win the Post of the Month. MSE Andrea has kindly answered the point here (thank you MSE Andrea)
